Granada is really close to Sierra Nevada, a mountainous rock that hosts one of the most famous skiing areas in Spain. This characteristic causes strong differences of temperature between day and night ( they can also reach 20 degrees). Furthermore, there is also the Darrío river which crosses the city and it creates humidity, moderating the temperature during the extreme months.

IMSOL levels

Level testIMSOL has its own on-line "language test" that the student has to complete the week before his arrival in Granada. In addition, on the first day before classes begin, the Head of Studies will evaluate the oral competence of the participant. After this, the participant will join a group depending on their level of both grammar and conversation. Since grammar and conversational knowledge and vocabulary are not always equivalent and since our courses attend to this difference, the participant could be in two groups of different level, if the head of studies considers it appropriate.

CertificatesAt the end of the course the student will receive a Certificate of Assistance of IMSOL totally free in which will be specified the duration of the course, the level reached and the total number of lessons. If desired, the participant may receive an IMSOL Certificate of Aptitude. For this, it must surpass the tests programmed in order to check the student’s evolution, whose content and evaluation is exclusively subject to the criteria of IMSOL’s Head of Studies.

Vocabulary and Grammar are studied in a contextual way, placing particular emphasis on the students' participation both in the oral and in the written production.

To carry out this methodology, Instituto Mediterráneo Sol (IMSOL) has a very professional and dynamic group of native teachers, all with a university degree (Philology) and with a specific title for teaching (CAP). Everybodyhave a minimum of 3 years experience. The work of the teachers is directed and coordinated by the Head of Studies who, at the same time, is in charge of advising them in everything that for the development of the classes is necessary.

Teaching is carried out entirely in Spanish and without using any other language support, developing a direct, situational and communicative method, seeking mental association between the object and the concept of the word or corresponding words in Spanish.
