READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS


Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with this type of product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to. Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. If applicable, pass these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance. Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention measures when using an electrical appliance, including the following: Electrical safety and cord handling• Voltage: Before plugging in the power adaptor, make sure your outlet voltage

and circuit frequency correspond to the voltage stated on the product rating label.

• Wall socket: Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock. When the power plug is plugged into the power supply, make sure the wall socket is easily accessible so it can be readily unplugged.

• A Kettle Popcorn Maker that is plugged into an outlet should not be left unattended.

• Do not immerse: To protect against fire and electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or the product itself in water or other liquid.

• Protect from moisture: Never subject this product to moisture or extreme temperatures. Do not expose it to dripping or splashing water. Do not use the product near water (bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool) or in a damp basement.

• Protect the power cord: Do not kink, bend, squash or damage the power cord and protect it from sharp edges and heat. Ensure nothing is placed upon or against the cord. It is always best to have a clear area from where the cord exits the unit to where it is plugged into a wall outlet. Run the cord in such a way that there will be no risk of anyone pulling it inadvertently, tripping over it or stepping on it.

• Damaged cord: If the electric cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified service agent.

• Disconnect: To prevent damage to the product due to lightning strikes and powerline surges, switch the product off and unplug it from the wall outlet during lightning storms and when the product is not going to be used for an extended period of time. Grip the plug when disconnecting, do not pull the cord. To disconnect, ensure the popcorn maker has completed popping, then remove the plug from the wall outlet.

is for household use only. Do not use this appliance outdoors.

Safe usage• Location: Place the product on a straight, rigid and stable surface, away from

sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat. • Prevent overheating: Place the product in a sufficiently aerated place, allowing

at least 10 inch clearance at the back and top of the product, and 10 inch on both sides, to prevent overheating. Do not place the product on top of another appliance that may cause overheating (for example, a receiver or amplifier).

• This popcorn maker will not shut off automatically. To avoid overheating, add corn and oil before operating and turn it off once you are done.

• Keep away from heat: Do not place the product near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other appliances that produce heat.

• Prevent damage: Do not place the product near other items that may damage it, such as naked flame sources (lit candles) or objects containing water (a vase or fish bowl).

• Keep openings clear: Take care that no objects fall and no liquids are spilled into any openings.

• DO NOT plug in the popcorn maker unless it is properly assembled. The components must be in place before operating.

• Extreme caution must be used when unloading popcorn. Always turn the unit over a counter-top so that residual hot oil or water running out will not cause burns.

• DO NOT immerse the Kettle Popcorn Maker or cord in water or any other liquid.

• A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord.

• Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.

• If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used: - The marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance; - If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding 3-wire cord; and: - The longer cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the countertop or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

Before first useUnpack the product but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure your new Kettle Popcorn Maker is undamaged and in good working order. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so ensure all such materials are out of their reach.

Assembly

1. Hook the kettle onto the hanger inside the main popcorn unit.

2. Insert the kettle's power plug into the electrical socket on the inner ceiling of the main unit.

3. Set the removable tray in the main popcorn maker unit below the kettle.

4. Place the door onto the hinges by aligning the pins on the main popcorn unit with the holes of the hinges on the door.

1. Make sure the popcorn maker is unplugged before you do any of the following:2. Before using the unit, please check carefully to be sure voltage

(AC120V~60Hz) is suitable to your home.3. Clean the popcorn maker as described under the "Care and cleaning" section.4. The main popcorn unit has 2 function switches as follows:

LIGHT: to turn the internal light bulb on. POP: to turn the stirring stick motor & heater on.

5. Ensure the Kettle Popcorn Maker is fully assembled. (See page 8 for assembly)6. Plug the external power cord into an electric wall outlet.7. Before pouring oil or kernels into the kettle, lift lid using the lid tab. Add oil

(1 tablespoon of vegetable, corn, peanut, or coconut oil). NEVER use butter or margarine in the kettle when popping kernels. This will cause the popcorn to burn and create an unpleasant residue.

8. Turn both 'LIGHT' & 'POP switches to 'ON' position. The light, heater and motor will be on. Let the kettle preheat the oil for approximately 2 to 3 minutes.

9. Turn the 'POP' switch to off position and add 1/3 cup of corn kernels (1/3 measuring cup included) and close the door.

10. Turn the 'POP' switch back on, the stirrer will begin to rotate and the heater will begin to heat up the oil and corn. The popcorn maker will be hot; we recommend using oven mitts to handle all components of the hot popcorn maker. The popcorn will begin to start popping out through the kettle after approx. 2 minutes.

11. When the popcorn maker has finished – you will no longer hear the corn popping – immediately turn the 'POP' switch to the 'OFF' position and pull down the handle bar of the kettle to release any remaining popcorn in the kettle. NOTE: This will also stop the remaining popcorn from cooking any further and avoid possible burning.

12. Keep 'POP' switch off if the unit is not in use. NOTE: DO NOT run your machine continuously as this could cause your popcorn popper to overheat. Always allow the kettle to cool-down for approximately 5-10 minutes between continuous batches. This will avoid over-heating the kettle. NOTE: Remove the plug from the power supply when the unit is not being used. DO NOT overfill the kettle. Doing so may cause overheating and burning of kernels. DO NOT use microwave popcorn in your Kettle Popcorn Maker.

Care and Cleaning

Care and cleaning WARNING: Always unplug the popcorn maker from the electrical outlet and allow the parts to cool completely before storing the unit or disassembling it for cleaning. Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid. CAUTION: DO NOT use abrasive cleaners of any kind on any part of your Kettle Popcorn Maker. Abrasive cleaners or cleaning tools can damage the plastic parts. NOTE: The Kettle Popcorn Maker does not have any dishwasher-safe components.• Clean the product after each use as described below:• Wash the accessories (measuring cup, tablespoon & tray) in warm water with

mild detergent and a soft cloth. Dry thoroughly.• Use a warm damp cloth to clean the interior chamber windows of the main unit

after each use to prevent build-up. • The plexi door is removable by simply lifting it off its hinges. The door can be

hand washed in warm soapy water.• Wipe the surfaces with a soft cloth moistened with warm water and mild

detergent. Then rinse with a soft cloth dampened with warm water. Dry thoroughly.

Kettle Quick Cleaning ProcedureTurn the 'POP' control to off. Pour 4 to 6 ounces of water (NO detergent is necessary) into inner kettle pot. Switch to 'POP' to boil the water and let the stirrer turn in order to remove excess oil stuck on the surface. Leave on for approximately 1-2 minutes. Shut off and let cool. After cooling, pour out the water out and discard. THE KETTLE MAY BE HOT.You may also remove the kettle and clean it with a non-abrasive scouring pad (Not included). NEVER immerse kettle or electrical plug in water or other liquids.

Instrucciones

Cuidado y limpieza ADVERTENCIA: Desconectar siempre la máquina para hacer palomitas del tomacorriente y dejar que las partes se enfríen completamente antes de guardar la unidad o desarmarla para su limpieza. Nunca sumerja la unidad en agua o cualquier otro líquido. PRECAUCIÓN: NO use limpiadores abrasivos en ninguna parte de su máquina de hacer palomitas de maíz. Los limpiadores abrasivos o utensilios de limpieza pueden dañar las piezas de plástico. NOTA: La máquina de hacer palomitas de maíz no tiene ningún componente apto para el lavavajillas.• Limpiar el producto después de cada uso como se describe a continuación:• Lavar los accesorios (taza medidora, cuchara y bandeja) en agua tibia con un

detergente suave y un paño. Secar a fondo. • Utilice un paño humedecido con agua tibia para limpiar las ventanas de la

Procedimiento de limpieza rápida de la caldera Coloque el interruptor 'MOTOR' en la posición de apagado. Vierta de 4 a 6 onzas de agua (NO es necesario detergente) en el recipiente.
