B) CHECK : List of Students , Courses Offer and Section available to be registered for Sem.3, 2011/2012 through the CFS WEBSITE (will be provided by your Academic Advisor/Time table committee) starting from 26th September 2011.

C) Also CHECK the name list of students to register for Sem. 3, 2011/2012 available at your Department’s NOTICE BOARD starting from 26th September 2011.

GENERAL GUIDELINE AND IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ONLINE PRE- REGISTRATION COURSE SEMESTER 3, 2011/2012 ( FOR : Sciences Programmes only –Petaling Jaya Campus)

VERY IMPORTANT :Before proceed to the Online Pre- Registration Courses, please read this manual CAREFULLY in order for you to do the online process smoothly. FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTION GIVEN BY YOUR ACADEMIC ADVISOR , Department of Sciences Programmes (DOSP) . CHECK List of Name /Matric No through the CFS WEBSITE or at your DEPARTMENT’S NOTICE BOARD. Check course(s) and Section assigned by your Academic Advisor.

Online Course Registration for Semester 3, 2011/2012 for Sciences Programmes only will be conducted from 28/9/2011 until 2 /10 /2011 (Wednesday until Sunday)

IMPORTANT NOTE : Please remember Your PIN NO. Any problems with PIN NO , please deal with A&R Office.

This online course registration is a web based System, therefore you can access it by yourself through this

URL : http://prereg.iiu.edu.my/cfsreg/ using your personal computer .

However, the Department of Sciences Programmes (DOSP) will open the Multipurpose Computer Lab A at Petaling Jaya in order to assist students during the online period (open during office hour only)

Before ONLINE please REMEMBER your COURSE CODE (Subject Code)/, COURSE TITLE (Name of the Subject) /, SECTION (Group) assigned to you in the CFS website or from your Academic Advisor (refer to Department’s Notice board). Otherwise it will create the problem to you during the online process . For example: SHE1114 - Mathematics 1 ( SECTION 23) or LEM0520 –English Language 5 .( SECTION 122) etc.

PLEASE ensure that COURSE CODE,COURSE TITLE & SECTION that you will be taking for semester 3 is key-in correctly in the online system – please follow as assigned by your Academic Advisor.

Failure to register or wrongly registered , your name will not appear in the Class Attendance and will affect your study period at CFS.

LOG OUT Click this button to exit from the system. If you

do not logout from the system, your course

registration records might be manipulated by

others who use the PC after you.

ADD Click this button to add a course.

The Add a course screen will be displayed. If you

already know which section to choose, follow

step54, else follow step 6.

DROP Click this button to drop a course.

Print Slip Click this button to view or print your

confirmation slip.

RESERVE Click this button to reserved subject that no

available section.

PETITION Click this button to register subject that not

offerred this semester.

SCHEDULE Click this button to view or print your course

schedule

Messages Click this button to determine the course of the

message

*Enter the course code you wish to add. Press ENTER or click on the Section

entry. (Please refer Appendix A-Course to be offered in Semester 3,

2011/2012)

*Enter the section you wish to add. Or Press „Available Sections‟ to see

section that available for you (Please refer to Appendix B- Available Section

for Pre Registration)

*Press ENTER.

*Click OK or press ENTER to confirm your REGISTRATION, otherwise click

CANCEL.

HOW TO TYPE THE COURSE

CODE CORRECTLY

It is important that you type

the course code correctly. If not

you might not get the course

you want because the system

cannot find it in the database.

*Enter the course code you wish to add.

Press ENTER or click on the SECTION entry.

*Click AVAILABLE SECTIONS.

*Browse through the AVAILABLE SECTIONS screen using the arrow toolbar

on the AVAILABLE SECTIONS screen

*Click on the section you wish to add. Click OK to confirm your selection,

otherwise CANCEL.

*Click OK if you wish to proceed adding the course. If not, click CANCEL.

Repeat step 4 or step 5 to add next courses.

To DROP a subject , click at „DROP‟ box.
