L DANGERDo not input volage o he resisance measurementfnctions. Doing so may damage the insrumen or casean accident resuling in njury or deah

WARNINGTurn o he power and discharge the capactors beoremeasring resistance in a circí!

    1. Set the range switch to the proper range

Accurate measurement can be made by selecting a range where thereading wi be about the center of the range

2 Connect the back test ead to the - termina, and the red one to the termina

3 Sho the test eads and use the zero ohm adjuster (O QAJ knob) toadust the pointer to the O scae

NOTE: f the pointer cannot be adusted to the O scae, repace thebattey

4 Connect the test eads to the circuit to be measured, and read thevaue from the scae

NOTE When changing the range disconnect the test eads from theobject to be measuredFor resistance measurement, the indcation may be unstabe ifthe ends of the test eads are dity, and the contact s poor fthe indication is unstabe, increase the contact pressure, or

cean the ends of the test eads by wiping with acoho or smiarsovent5 In order to obtain the true vaue, it is necessay to mutipy the reading

shown by the factor for the range in use

    LED Check (ighting Test)

1 Set the range switch to the x 1O (LE) range

    Resistance

2 Connect the test eads to both sides of the E to be tested3 The LE has poarity so uness it ight in 2, try reversng the test

eads connections4 When it ights the pointer defect however a reading has no meaningNOTE  The intea! battery of tíe meter has positive poarity in the -

termina Therefore, it is right to connect the red ( ) test ead tothe cathode side of the E and the back (-) one to the anodeside

    Temperature Measurement

(Use the optonal 9021-01 THERMISOR TEMPERAURE

    PROBE.)

1 Set the range switch to the function R x 1 O (EMP) range2 Connect the two back pugs of the three pugs of the temperature

probe to the and - terminas3 Use the ero ohm adjuster (O AJ knob) to adjust the pointer to the

O scae4 After O adjustment change the pug in the + termna to the red

pug5 Connect the temperature probe tip to the measurement pace, and

read the vaue from the temperature scae

CAUTIONBe careu to avoid oching he removed plg wh anyother obects.

REFERENCE  The time for indication and measured temperatue varydependng on the condition o heat conduction to theprobe

    Battery test (BA 1.5 V)

DANGERDo no apply a over-voltage whie a BA 15 V range sseleced Applying a overvoltage may resut n damage othe instrument, or a serious acciden

1 Set the range swtch to the BAT 5 V range2 Connect the back test ead to the - termina and the red one to he

temina3 Connect the test eads to both sdes of the battey to be measured

(the red test ead to the positive side and the back one to thenegative side) and read the measurement vaue

Removed a battery from a set as much as possibe and measure itaoneREERENCE  Ths measures the votage with a 150 mA (oad resister
