SAF-Holland Training

SAF-Holland design and manufacture some of the world’s hardest working

axles which is why they are the first choice for an increasing number of

trailer builders and operators.

To ensure the smooth and efficient running of equipment in an industry

where high operational stresses are the norm, your axles need scheduled

servicing by fully trained technicians using factory-approved tools and

original parts. To meet these needs, IMS has created the only SAF-

endorsed product training program.

The aim of the program is simple; to equip customers and service partners

with the skills necessary to ensure that trailers fitted with SAF components

always function at optimum efficiency with minimal downtime which in turn,

means having the right maintenance protocols in place.

IMS Limited professionals head up the program and using a specially

outfitted training trailer, provide hands-on, in-depth product training on

SAF-Holland equipment including:

⊲ SAF axle and suspension overview

⊲ SAF axle and suspension maintenance

Brakes

⊲ Maintenance, overhaul and parts replacement of the SAF drum brake axle

⊲ Maintenance, overhaul and parts replacement of the SAF disc brake axle

⊲ Overhaul and repair of the Knorr and SAF brake calipers

⊲ Overview of the correct fitment and positioning of the slack adjuster and

brake chambers

Suspension

⊲ Airbag identification and correct fitment

⊲ Shock absorber fitting and function

⊲ 3D Bush removal and replacement

Hub Unit

⊲ Maintenance of the hub unit including bearing replacement

Beyond SAF-Holland, we provide training programmes in support of our

other brands. Furthermore, we can create training modules covering multiple

brands that are tailored to suit the specific requirements of customers. So

if there are particular aspects of product servicing and/or maintenance that

We can be flexible in terms of how training is delivered, i.e. at your premises,

here at our HQ in Shepshed, Leicestershire or indeed at another mutually

convenient location.

TRAINING COST

IMS Limited charges £495.00 + vat per day to provide training at customers’ premises (plus travelling and accommodation as and where appropriate). The cost is the same regardless of the number of delegates up to a maximum of 6 delegates per session.
