supply chain.• TAKT Time, the rate at which a finished products needs to be completed in order to

meet customer demand.• Physical count of inventory at the end of the financial year.• Amount of inventory wasted in the production process.• The inventory buffer is the minimum level of inventory to be held to meet

emergencies.

• Lead time is the time a new order will take to be delivered.• Re-order level being the point at which new order is to be placed.• Inventory turnover measures how many times a year the organisation is able to sell

its entire inventory.• Inventory holding is the length of time taken for inventory to be sold• Scrap level will let you calculate the adjusted production requirements for each

product.• QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) offers a straight forward method of measuring

• Safety Performance indicators can be either leading or lagging. Lagging indicators tend to consider things that have gone wrong. Leading indicators identify the failings and prevents the accident before it occurs.

• Total Quality Management (TQM) is a long-term success derived from a dedication to customer satisfaction.

• Economic ordering quantity is the most cost effective amount of inventory to re-order based on usage, costs of ordering and inventory holding costs
