AsbestosAsbestos Cement Pipe WorkerThis course provides guidance for those who are involved in the repair and maintenance of asbestos cement pipe. It is presumed that personnel attending this course are proficient in the day-to-day practice of repairing and maintaining asbestos water and sewer pipes. Materials included.

Asbestos Inspector RefresherThis course provides an annual refresher and review of the initial AHERA Asbestos Inspector course. Materials included.

Asbestos Management Planner RefresherThis course provides an annual refresher and review of the initial AHERA Management Planner course. Prerequisite: Asbestos Inspector Refresher. Materials included.

Asbestos O and M WorkerThis course is for maintenance personnel involved with repair and maintenance activities that may disturb asbestos containing materials or building materials that are presumed to contain asbestos during their normal work activities. It meets all requirements for SCDHEC licensing and EPA AHERA/ASHARA accreditation for work in K-12 schools. This course also satisfies the requirements for the OSHA Class III worker and OSHA Competent Person training. The course participants will conduct hands-on asbestos glove bag removal exercises and be limited to the amount of disturbance that can be contained in a 60” x 60” waste or glove bag. Asbestos O and M Worker RefresherThis course provides an annual refresher and review of the initial Asbestos O and M Worker course. Materials included.

Asbestos SupervisorThis course provides a general overview of the issues involved with the day to day management of asbestos abatement projects. It

meets all requirements for SCDHEC licensing and EPA AHERA/ASHARA accreditation for supervision of asbestos abatement projects. This course is also the prerequisite for the NIOSH 582 air monitoring course, which is required for licensing by SCDHEC to perform air monitoring of abatement projects and satisfies the requirements for the OSHA Competent Person training. Asbestos Supervisor RefresherThis course provides an annual refresher and review of the initial AHERA Asbestos Supervisor/Contractor course. Materials included.

Asbestos WorkerThis course provides a general overview of the issues an asbestos worker may encounter on asbestos abatement projects. It meets all requirements for SCDHEC licensing and EPA AHERA/ASHARA accreditation for workers who are involved with removal of asbestos containing material (ACM) on asbestos abatement projects of any size. An asbestos supervisor is required and must be in containment for large scale NESHAP projects. This course also satisfies the requirements for the OSHA Competent Person training for Class I and II work.

Certified Production TechnicianCertified Production TechnicianMaster the fundamental skills for working in a manufacturing plant including safety, maintenance awareness, quality and manufacturing processes and procedures. *This training is not offered in public classes and is only available through the Business Solutions division in order to provide clients with a truly unique learning experience designed especially to meet the client’s needs.

Computer Numerical Control (CNC)CNC TrainingThe CNC Operator Boot Camp turns out employees ready for work in a machine shop following a rigorous 288 hours of training, the equivalent of a year’s work experience. Graduates of this program are trained on topics including basic understanding of manufacturing, strong CNC operator skills, blueprint reading and CNC math, quality and Lean skills including 5s and preventative maintenance. Increase quality control and decrease machine downtime percentages with advanced troubleshooting skills. Our Business Solutions team also provides training for CNC Operator Intermediate Skills as well as Set-up Technician training. Learn valuable industry expertise such as performing major machine changeovers, prototyping and new product introduction. *This training is not offered in public classes and is only available through the Business Solutions division in order to provide clients with a truly unique learning experience designed especially to meet the client’s needs.

Course topics include the national electrical code, general electrical knowledge, electrical power, grounding, service and branch circuits, conductors, lighting and safety. Book not included.

Licensed Residential Builder Exam PrepObtain the knowledge needed to become a licensed residential builder in South Carolina. The course is designed to assist you in your preparation to take the South Carolina Builder Exam. Book not included.

Limited General Contractor Exam PrepLearn what you need to know to become a South Carolina-licensed limited general contractor. This course covers concrete and masonry, types of metals, envelope protection, doors and windows, blueprint reading and safety. Book not included.

Crane and Rigging OperationsCrane and Rigging Operator TrainingDo you utilize mobile, overhead or fixed cranes in your facility? We provide expert training to assist you in providing a safe work environment, enhanced workforce skills and compliance with regulatory training standards. DOT HazmatDOT Hazmat Transportation and Security AwarenessThis course focuses on the proper handling, packaging, marking, labeling, placarding and transport of hazardous materials. It also provides an overview of the security requirements found in the Hazardous Materials Regulations. Materials included.

Electrical and Instrumentation TechnicianElectrical and Instrumentation TechnicianIndustrial maintenance electrical and instrumentation (IM E&I) technicians are needed in every industry that uses machinery, from automotive assembly plants to computer manufacturers. We use a nationally credentialed program from the National Center for Construction Education and Research. The program is a four-level curriculum that introduces topics such as: installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical instruments and mechanical equipment that will produce a journeyman level employee upon completion. *This training is not offered in public classes and is only available through the Business Solutions division in order to provide clients with a truly unique learning experience designed especially to meet the client’s needs.

Forklift TrainingForklift Training: Powered Industrial Truck For courses beginning with the code XLOG 501, learn the correct care and use of forklift trucks. Included in the program is the OSHA Powered Industrial Truck Standard, 29CFR1910.178, which covers forklift design limitations, uses in material handling, pre-operation check, operator skills and accident prevention. Upon successful completion of the course, you receive a three-year certification in forklift driving/operation skills. For courses beginning with the code XLOG 511, this course is the same as XLOG 501 but offered in a bilingual Spanish/English format. Materials included.

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

Commercial RefrigerationThis course is a study of maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration systems. Topics covered include the troubleshooting and repair of walk-in and reach-in freezers and ice machines.

Gas Heat and Heat Pump MaintenanceThis course is a study of residential and light commercial Heat Pump and gas burner systems. Course includes the adjustments, maintenance and repair of these systems.

HVAC EPA Refrigerant Certification Exam Preparation and ExamThis course prepares you for the EPA certification exam for refrigerant handling and recovery for stationary equipment. The EPA exam is given at the final course meeting and costs an additional $25, which must be paid separately by check, payable to the N.C. Refrigeration Board. Books included.

HVAC Maintenance AdvancedThis course expands upon the topics covered in the Basic HVAC Maintenance course. This course covers recover, evacuate and charge systems by factory-approved methods. All operations will be in accordance with EPA requirements. Proper use of tools and materials to flare and silver braze refrigeration piping and components will be covered. Prerequisite: HVAC Maintenance Basic or instructor approval required prior to registering. Use same book from HVAC Maintenance Basic course.

HVAC Maintenance BasicThis course covers the performance of scheduled preventive maintenance on residential air conditioning and electric heating equipment, which includes cleaning, servicing and operational checkout. Learn the basic functions of residential equipment, the refrigeration cycle, and the operation and testing of electrical controls. Books not included.

HVAC Troubleshooting and Repair AdvancedLearn techniques and procedures in troubleshooting and making repairs in residential air conditioning and electric heating equipment. This course covers the use of electric meters and pressure gauges in determining proper operation and charging of the system. Prerequisite: HVAC Maintenance Basic or instructor approval required prior to registering. Use same book from HVAC Maintenance Basic course.

Industrial Maintenance MechanicIndustrial Maintenance MechanicIndustrial maintenance mechanics (IM Mechanic) are needed in every industry that uses machinery, from assembly plants to power manufacturers. We use a nationally credentialed program from the National Center for Construction Education and Research. The program is a four-level curriculum that introduces topics such as troubleshooting, repair topics, oxyfuel cutting, piping components, laser alignment and maintenance of mechanical equipment that will produce a journeyman level employee upon completion. *This training is not

offered in public classes and is only available through the Business Solutions division in order to provide clients with a truly unique learning experience designed especially to meet the client’s needs.

LeadLead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP)New EPA training requirements are now in place for certified renovators! The new Environmental Protection Agency rules apply to contractors who renovate or repair housing, childcare facilities or schools built before 1978. Under the new rules, trained contractors and workers must follow lead-safe work practice standards to reduce potential exposure to dangerous levels of lead during renovation and repair activities. The requirements apply to anyone who could potentially expose children to lead dust during their work and includes builders, painters, plumbers and electricians. In April 2010, this certification became MANDATORY for anyone who could potentially expose children to lead dust. TTC has partnered with Greenville Technical College to offer the training. Materials included.

MechatronicsMechatronics Level 1Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of engineering that provides the skills necessary for you to compete for high paying jobs in the manufacturing industry. MetrologyMetrologyPrecision measurement is an art form for many manufacturing, machining and assembly plants. Our new metrology program focuses on attaining greater perspective on the scientific study of measurement. Occupational Health and Safety and OSHA

HAZWOPER 24-hourThis 24-hour course covers broad issues pertaining to hazard recognition at work sites. HAZWOPER 24-hour is required for employees visiting an uncontrolled hazardous waste operation mandated by the government. Materials included.

HAZWOPER 40-hourThis course is specifically designed for workers who are involved in clean-up operations; voluntary clean-up operations; emergency response operations; and storage, disposal or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. HAZWOPER

40-hour is required for employees working on a project consisting of uncontrolled hazardous waste operation mandated by the government. Materials included.

HAZWOPER 8-hour RefresherThis course meets the requirements outlined in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for eight hours of annual refresher training for workers at hazardous waste sites. This course is designed for general site workers who remove hazardous waste or who are exposed or potentially exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards. Materials included.

NFPA 70E Flash TrainingThis course defines the requirements for work practices that workers should use to avoid injury from a release of electrical energy when performing tasks involving electrical power. The information provided in this course enables you to prevent or minimize exposure to all widely recognized electrical hazards as well as to better understand OSHA and NFPA 70E. Training materials included.

OSHA 10-hour General Industry Safety This course is for entry-level workers and provides awareness

on recognizing and preventing hazards in a general industry setting. Materials included.

OSHA 30-hour General Industry SafetyThis course is a comprehensive safety program designed for general industry workers and supervisors. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen and field supervisors, the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. Materials included.

Programmable Logic ControllersProgrammable Logic ControllersThis Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) 40-hour course is specifically tailored to the industrial maintenance technician. The primary focus is on the practical application of PLC concepts in a plant or manufacturing environment that include a comprehensive introduction to digital and analog PLC theory, operation, installation, programming, maintenance and troubleshooting. Project Management Professional (PMP®) Exam PreparationThis course prepares students for the PMI® PMP® Certification exam. Both the class and the exam (administered by PMI®) are offered for project managers with three or more years of experience who want to increase their skills and apply a standards-based approach to project management. During the course, students will learn the necessary content and successful strategies for passing the PMP® exam. Individual students will also learn to identify their specific exam strengths and weaknesses and have the opportunity to practice with high-quality practice exam questions. The course covers the certified quality engineer body of knowledge including management and leadership foundations, quality systems, product process, design and control of continuous improvement methods, quantitative methods and tools.

Fundamentals of Quality ManagementThis course is designed to introduce and provide an understanding of the essential elements of the quality management approach used to encourage organizations to analyze customer requirements, define the processes that contribute to the achievement of a product that is acceptable to a customer and ways to keep these processes under control. After completing the course, students will be able to: describe the vital role of management to quality patient and client; define commonly used quality terms; differentiate common approaches used to improve product and service quality; and explain the three principles of total quality.

ISOWe offer comprehensive training for a broad range of ISO certification standards from universal ISO 9001.2008 (soon to be 9001.2014) to demanding standards for manufacturers of precision automotive and aeronautical products. Learn how to strengthen your organization via the use of Six Sigma concepts and techniques which are an asset to any industry including manufacturing, health care, financial services and information technology. Supply ChainBasic WarehousingThis practical warehouse course is designed to help you stay up-to-date with the most essential concepts in the warehousing and distribution field. You will learn what you need to know about equipment, layout, inventory control, and material handling-and assess what works best for general warehouse operations. The course includes basic tips on controlling warehouse operations, developing and interpreting of a basic action plan as well as examples of time-tested techniques and methodologies used for operation success. Certification in Transportation and Logistics Cohort ProgramCTL is known as the premier credential in the transportation/logistics industry. The CTL recognizes professionals who demonstrate a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of the profession. Prerequisite: Participants must have a B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited college or three years of professional experience.

Certified Logistics Associate/Technician This program is designed to meet the need for hands-on experience and classroom training. Trident Technical College’s Certified Logistics Technician Program includes 120 hours of training, which is 40% classroom learning, and 60% hands-on training. This program leads to two national certifications: Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT). It also includes Powered Industrial Truck certification. *This training is not offered in public classes and is only available through the Business Solutions division in order to provide clients with a truly unique learning experience designed especially to meet the client’s needs.

Transportation LogisticsThis effective transportation logistics course is designed to help you understand the principles and fundamental concepts of handling issues that impact inventory and distribution. You will learn what you need to know about how to handle development growth and expanding business market layouts, understand, relay and interpret requirements for making recommendations for supply change improvements. The course includes basic discussion of inventory reporting and working with a warehouse management system used for operation support. Materials Included.

WastewaterP/C Wastewater Certification Review Level C/DPhysical Chemical D- and C-level wastewater certification preparation programs: These courses are compliant with SCLLR performance objectives and are designed to provide the knowledge and skills to perform job duties in the industrial wastewater treatment industry. Students are directed through review material that prepares them for the SCLLR certification examination by the use of lectures, videos/DVDs, practice questions and hands-on demonstrations. Documents and training outlines from the latest volume of the Sacramento Manual are provided. Materials Included.
