Web Break Detection is a crucial application necessary in printing industry . Web Break happens whena sheetof media breaks from the line of prodcution / printing and disrupts the printing process. This explains howcrucial it is for any printing press manufacturers to have a web break detection application in-built with thepress.Manugraph a leading manufacturer of offsets press has successfully applied this application accross theirproduct rage with the help of ifm photo sensors .Web break detection sensor is a photoelectric sensor designed to monitor a web or sheet of media, such aspaper, reflective or glossy printed material, adhesive films, and packaging material. It is critical to quicklyrespond to a tear or web break in order to immediately identify and stop the web movement to minimize theamount of wasted media and ink. Reliable web break detection also reduces downtime, as the torn web can bespliced together and doesn't have to be fed through the entire printing or converting machine again, whichsaves time and labour costs .

Auto Paster Mechanism is used for seamlessly change the web (paper roll) from the running web to the new web, when the running web gets consumed.ifm sensors such as inductive sensor and Photo electric sensor, encoders are used in this application for Paper Ending Detection etc. This mechanism is very critical for web printing machine to enhance the printing productivity. As the entire machine requires very reliable power supplies, Manugraph uses ifm power supplies for most of these machine automation applications.
