Certificate Programs

Available to both degree and non degree seekers

Can be either on campus or online Includes a limited set of preexisting courses Affords a credential without full degree

Certificate Programs

Completion results in formal certificate and transcript notation

Began to formalize in 2013 as response to SACS

Requires Curriculum Committee approval Must have Academic Learning Compact and

Academic Assessment Plan approved Over 220 currently approved Can be targeted for licensure or certification

“Special” Programs

Anything that doesn’t fit elsewhere! Predominantly graduate or professional level Predominantly distance learning Many programs are “self funded” Often “off calendar”
