Our Monthly Gathering is held the 2nd Sunday of the Month. 8:30am for social time, coffee & doughnuts. Come and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow GWRRA Members and our Chapter W Family! Gathering starts at 9am.

Hello Chapter W family
Welcome to fall. I really love fall the best the only thing about it is
what comes after, that four letter word we all as bikers hate to see,
snow. We only have a limited number of days left to enjoy our
favorite pass time, riding so get out there and enjoy the colors and
crisp air while you can.
September was a busy time for our chapter, it started with our Toy
Run we had great weather and a good turnout, not the best we have
ever had but not the worst either. As a chapter we all pull together
and did what we always do (get the job done). I know I speak for the Probst, and the Papworths
when I say how proud we are of the job everyone did at the Toy Run.
We had our campout at Sauder’s campground in Archbold, Ohio the week after the Toy Run
we had nine campers. If you didn’t get the chance to come out to the campground this year we
are planning on doing it again next year around the same time. We had a boiled Hobo Dinner
on Friday night Karen and Dick supplied the cooking container and everyone else supplied the
contents it was so good we are discussing having the same thing next year instead of going to
the Barn Restaurant. A lot of you came on Friday night for the dinner what a good time we all
had Pattie Kintner spent a couple hours constructing a game to play after the meal. It didn’t get
far as soon as Cal got hold of the shrink wrap it was only seconds before it was all undone he
said he deals with shrink wrap at work all the time and knows how to handle it lol. We all en-
joyed the contents of the shrink wrap thanks to Cal sharing and Pattie for putting it together.
Saturday night we all went over to the Barn Restaurant for dinner, we had three people enjoy
our fine voices LOL sing Happy Birthday to them Susie Stoddard, Jim Morrison and Luisa
Kinsey all celebrated birthdays in September.
Later in the month some of us went to 1835 W. Monroe Rd. Tecumseh to cook hotdogs for the
participants and their families of Lenawee Therapeutic Riding thanks to our Couple Of The
Year Jim and Penny Morrison for getting things together for us. We all watched the partici-
pants get on the horses and ride around the track while volunteers held the horses and sup-
ported the riders. What a great thing this is for Lenawee County residence that need this par-
ticular therapy. It was discussed that perhaps we could get together with Lenawee Therapeutic
Riding and do a fund raising event. Nothing has been planned but we are open to suggestions
the job they do is so important to these families.
We picked the dinner rides for October and decided to keep the last two local because of the
colder weather and the shorter day light hours also the deer are very active because the farmers
are getting their crops out and the deer are moving more during this time of the year. We won-
der if we should start meeting at the restaurant in Oct instead of Nov. what you think. Give us
your input at our gathering in November. We also need to have suggestions on our next Couple
Of The Year.
Our Christmas Party is fast approaching so we are giving you a heads up wear you ugliest
sweater you may be the one to win a special gift.
