Formation: The person on the inside of the circle is the lead or "male" dancer. The person on the outside of the circle is the follow or "female" dancer. The song begins with the leads using their left foot and the follows their right foot.

Part 2: Instead of standing still, the lead dancer: Counts 1-4: 360 degree turn on the spot, to the right (clockwise) Counts 5-8 stand and clap (bend knees to the beat), Counts 9-12 360 degree turn to the left (counter clockwise) Counts 13 - 16 stand and clap (bend knees to the beat)

Promenade lasts for 16 beats and travels counter clockwise. Stand beside your new partner. Right hands are joined to each other on the top. Left hands are joined on the bottom.
