MethodologyObjective
This work focuses on how RISAT-1 CFRS-1 data helpful for the mapping of volcanic terrain and with the help of the hybrid decomposition technique and backscattering coefficient values extraction of the nature of the lava flows could be done .
Results
(A) 14-JUN-01,LANDSAT data and (B) 05-NOV-13,SAR data both are in the same scale, volcanic flows are clearly visible in SAR data compared to LANDSAT data due to vegetation cover
Mapping of volcanic flows
Hybrid decomposition of RISAT-1 CFRS-1 data using m-delta (m-δ) decomposition over Mount Sinabung, Indonesia shows different surface of the area based on the scattering mechanism. Red-even bounce that represent city, Blue- odd bounce that represent rough (intermediate) surface ,Green-diffused scattering that represent vegetation. Red: even; Green: diffused; Blue: odd scattering planes
