TESTIMONYAs any other average boy, I did not have big dreams, but a commitment to

work hard. The days in Marian Engineering College groomed me to a better

man, with a strong will to be a good human being. Today with 9 years of

experience, I am thankful to MEC for the rich contribution to my life. For the

coming generation this is the message: Humble Faith, Hard work and hope

will help you succeed.

Alex Thomas

It was Marian which made me what I am today

“An engineer has an extraordinary sense” – these words from one of my

teachers got etched in my mind on my first day of college. My years in Marian

taught me how to think, analyze and apply myself. The strong subject knowl-

edge given by Marian has carried me through in professional front. Currently

I am discharging my duties holding the rank of Squadron Leader, Air force.

Sunish S

Roshan did his B.Tech in Information Technology from Marian in 2005 and

joined Infosys, through campus placement, in the Innovation and Architecture

team. He is a Gold Medalist from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management

Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai and also the All India Topper for NMIMS Group

Discussion / Personal Interview. He received a pre- placement offer from

Essar Group as part of his Internship and was placed in the Global Leadership

program of Essar Group. Roshan is currently working in the sales team of

Wipro looking after strategic engagements and deals worth >50 million USD.

Being part of the first batch of Electronics and Communication Engineering at

MEC, I was lucky to have been able to attend classes by many eminent pro-

fessors. I worked for 3 years with Infosys, after being picked up by them from

campus. I owe my career and personality to the 4 years I spent at Marian. My

experience being part of the first quiz team at Marian helped me widen my

horizon of thought. I am sure the college would scale new heights in academic

excellence in the future.

Jayasooryan K.V

Marian’s strength has always been the academic quality and constant motiva-

tion from staff and management to excel in all disciplines. As part of the first

batch to graduate from Marian, I came out of the college with not only a degree

but also with the necessary tools and more to take on life. If I could go back in

time, I think I would still go to Marian Engineering College for my Engineering

Degree

Sajath Ambadi

The innumerable opportunities to excel in both academic and extracurricular

activities during the 4 years I spent at MEC helped define who I’d later become

in life. I found many opportunities to focus on my areas of interest and to grow

as a professional. I subsequently pursued my MBA from the Pennsylvania State

University (USA) and I’m extremely happy with my career where I work and

globe trot as a consultant for a niche supply chain company in the US.

Jimmy Varghese

It’s been twelve years down the lane and I would proudly say that four-year

stint at Marian was a vibrant learning experience. Constant guidance and mo-

tivation from eminent professors in the department of ECE helped to acquire

knowledge, sharpen my inquisitive mind and decide on future career path.

Thank you MEC for being the guiding light. I will always cherish those moments.

Arun S

Scientist Engineer, ISRO

I can positively say that my 4 years in Marian Engineering College helped me

to be a better person both professionally and personally. It has helped me

to develop a positive attitude towards my studies and discover more about

myself. What makes Marian Engineering College outstanding is the academic

excellence, great infrastructure facilities and the support, guidance and mo-

tivation from the faculty and management. I am sure college will scale new

heights in academic excellence in future.

Sreehari RamanDoha

My experience with Marian Engineering college was incredible. The faculty is

very highly committed and the services provided are impeccable. The efforts

put by the faculty to sharpen our skillset and the opportunities given to us

to widen our horizon, spread our wings were immeasurable. Even after I

graduated, the professors of the Computer Science department have always

gone above and beyond to provide input to resolve any technical issues en-

countered. The people, networking and friendly ambiance in this college is

what makes it a second home. I was placed in Infosys during my final year.

After an year with Infosys, I pursued my MS in Computer Science at Virginia

Tech. The strong technical background obtained from Marian, enabled me

to pursue a career in Cyber Security and Vulnerability research at the Hume

Center of National Security and Intelligence, USA. My thesis research project

on Android Containers and Virtualization (patent pending) was published and

presented in the office of US Senate CIO, Washington D. C. I currently work

with Intel Corporation as a security and vulnerability researcher

Neelima KrishnanSecurity Researcher, Intel Corporation.

Since the first moment I came to Marian Engineering College (MEC) I was met

with nothing but energy and enthusiasm. The faculty and staff at this insti-

tution are top rate and helped me develop a positive attitude towards my

studies and discover more about myself. They have given me the platform

and guidance to achieve best heights and success in my career. In my 4 years

at MEC, I had the greatest time ever and thank everybody for helping me to

become what I am today. I really believe it is a privilege to come to MEC and

I am so glad I made that decision.

Gokul ChandranUSA

My experience at MEC has paved the way to a highly responsible and techni-

cally challenging position in a leading IT firm. Though being the first batch of

Computer Science & Engg, we had all we needed within the campus. Today

I am proud and feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction being part

MEC.

Kiran Bertil Seattle, USA

Started as a Marianite in 2003, I am now proud that I got the best college to

learn my life’s valuable lessons. Let it be academics, let it be extracurricular

activities, or let it be anything, MEC made me face anything and everything

with pride and courage. MEC gave me good teachers who taught me not

only subjects in syllabus but gave me virtues to lead my future too. All the

non-teaching staff that supported us was just like our family and share the

same love when we see them even today.Last but not the least, it gave me

my forever friends. It has been 10 years since I graduated from MEC. Proud

to be a Marianite!

Aravind PrabhakarD+H Solutions India Private Limited

Looking back at the years at Marian, I see myself slipping into nostalgia.

Nothing can bring those moments back. Those jolly ones with my friends.

Marian gave me not just a degree, but the confidence to face the life ahead.

The courage I summoned during those college days made me plunge later

into entrepreneurship, launch a start-up and steer it to a steady track. Thank

you, Marian.
