About this DocumentBeing a business graduate started working on the marble sector of Gadani, Lasbela, Balochistan since 2007.

Initially it was a part of duty but later became a part of life and source of pleasure.

Friends from Sohb and AHAN joined and started working on marble mosaic. Today the subject is very open but those days we had many difficulties of where to get the raw material, what type of raw material, ratio and costs,

and how to start processing?.

The earlier trainings by few other departments on the subject were used as guidelines and lessons learned. Mr. Mirza Furqan Baig was the first person to help us adopt the right course of action with mesh mounted mosaic

techniques. The three months training was a success in terms of mesh mounting but lot more needed for marketable finished products.

Facilitated the SEWS, Hub for proposal design and approval meetings with the donor “PIIDSA”. The Rs. 52 million project was full of challenges. The learning was that the proposal design should be designed to have

handsome remuneration for the key posts like Finance and Admin. Once entered practically in the market, we learned the complete process and more options in terms of investment in Machinery. Finally, for such trainings to

be successful the trainings to proceed into sustainability, the trained women should be facilitated with raw material for working and sufficient supply of quality products to cater to market demands.

The process had not ended…….. We are searching and filtering
