Visual MessagesVisual Messages are informational things that we see. They include commercials and news casts. They often contain some words and sound.

We look at FOUR things:

AIM

ARRANGEMENT

AUDIENCE

ANGLE

AimThe Aim of a media message is its purpose. The question we ask ourself is: WHY was this message created.

ArrangementThe arrangement is how the message is formatted. The questions we ask ourselves are: How does the message work, and how was the message created?

Audience The audience is the person or group the message is directed for. We ask ourselves the question: Who is          this message for?

AngleThe angle of a message is the perspective from which the angle comes. We ask ourselves the questions: Who created this message, and from who's eyes is the message created?
