Join us as we celebrate what God has done and is doing at WPRZ!! It’s time to raise the bar and reach upwards for an increase in funding that will allow us to continue carrying out the mission God has given to us to do over WPRZ-FM!! We are gathering together a group of men and women, businesses and churches, who will be used of God to provide adequate finances for WPRZ-FM to operate in our local community! We have come a long way...but we still have a long way to go to receive adequate funding to cover all the necessary expenses, not including needed funds, to move forward serving our listeners even better! Please pray now about what God might have you do. We’ll be sending out more information in the mail and will be earnestly and prayerfully waiting for your response. Will you be one of God’s people who will give and be committed to seeing WPRZ-FM continue as a locally owned and operated community-oriented local radio station? We can do this if we all pull together and if everyone gives out of the riches God has given them! Please be in prayer about this and be watching for your Response Card! We are so pleased to be able to give away 5 copies of a fabulous movie titled, “Unconditional”! In this film inspired by true events, successful author/illustrator Samantha Crawford is living a charmed life, until her husband is murdered. She’s plunged into despair, and loses her faith. It’s only after an unexpected meeting with a childhood friend, Joe, that she begins to feel a faint glimmer of hope. Also, we have a copy of local author Dr. Donna Andes’ book “Know Thy Enemy”. New Program! Welcome “All God’s Creatures” With Sarah Hayes of

Tranquility Farm Saturday Mornings at 8:30!!!

If you love horses and animals of all kinds then you won’t want to miss this unique new program! Sarah Hayes is the host of “All God’s Creatures” and the founder and president of Tranquility Farm Equestrian Education and Renewal Center, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to help physically and emotionally injured and handicapped people regain their confidence, restore trust in self and others, and renew their lives through an individualized therapeutic program using rescued and rehabilitated horses. The farm has just recently moved to Culpeper from Maryland. Sarah has quite a history! She only weighed one pound, 13 ounces and was predicted to never walk, talk, or have any kind of life. Not only did Sarah survive being premature, she thrived! Her mother put her on a horse and started riding lessons before Sarah could even walk. The rest is history! Sarah grew up to become an able equestrian and fully functioning individual having superlative gifts and being highly educated in her field with horses and teaching children and adults to believe in themselves through the medium of working with horses. Sarah and her husband Terry love their new community of Culpeper and attend St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

A Blessing from Some New Friends!

What a joy it was to meet The Stensneys! Mark and his son Luke came by on Bluegrass Friday and left a lovely card addressed to Pastor Jeff along with a plate full of delicious cookies and a photo of the entire family! The card said “We absolutely love bluegrass Friday! We love all the music and scripture readings.

Reaching Out! WPRZ at the 9th Annual Orange County

Fishing and Sportsman’s Expo!

We love getting out into the community to make more people aware of WPRZ and to support great wholesome events for teens such as the Fishing and Sportsman’s Expo. The kids in the Orange County High School and Madison County High School 4-H and B.A.S.S. Federation Nation– VA Youth Bass Fishing Teams are some really great kids and go out of their way to help us set up and break down! Some of the kids in these fishing teams have won national awards! The Fishing Expo is under the direction of Becky Gore, teacher and youth advisor of the fishing teams. Becky wanted us to thank everyone as follows: “On behalf of the Orange County High School and Madison County High School 4-H and B.A.S.S. Federation Nation – VA Youth Bass Fishing Teams, we thank all of the local individual citizens that attended, all of the businesses that either sponsored or donated items, and the parents and volunteers that worked throughout the weekend at the event. It was a tremendous success, and is such a win-win opportunity for both the exhibitors and our youth programs. This event serves as a major life time opportunity for these youth to practice developing their skills in marketing, team building, public relations and service. Proceeds from the event will support their many activities throughout the coming year.
