mccsHH Issue #14

March 2015

March brings the promise of spring...sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Both would be welcome as we once again prepare, at press time, for yet another wintry mix — just enough to cause trouble, but not enough to make for a winter wonderland. Our cover shot of the United States Capitol, with green grass on the Mall and puffy clouds overhead, makes springtime a fantasy if not a reality.

Did you know that violent extremism recruiters may be closer to home than you think? There have been, according to our Behavioral Health Branch staff, incidents of recruiters targeting children of military families in our area. Become informed about this and other issues affecting our children at the Tactical Parenting for the iGeneration seminar at the Pentagon on March 6 and at Henderson Hall’s Joe Rosenthal Theater on March 31. For details, please visit www.mccsHH.com/prevention.html.

Speaking of the website, we hope you have had a chance to give it a look. Newly designed and optimized for mobile devices, the website includes everything to know about MCCS Henderson Hall. Check it out and let us know what you think.

March is also the MCX Spring Design Month, the month wherein MCX prices on de-signer, name brand apparel, accessories, shoes, and more are discounted. If you are an authorized Exchange patron, you won’t want to miss this sale. And it truly is a sale, with entire lines discounted up to 20 percent more than already low MCX prices. As always, we thank you for your patronage!
