Asian Services In Action, Inc. is thrilled to welcome three new Board of Directors who began their terms on March 1, 2015. The new members join . We are 11 other esteemed members of our board excited to have this new diverse groups of individuals join the board and offer their unique talents, expertise and perspective to further ASIA, Inc.s’ mission to empower and advocate for the AAPIs through appropriate information and services. Ms. Boyung Pahls, MPH, has nearly 20 years experience in real-world evidence analytics focused on patient treatment pathways, physician and patient segmentation, and various outcomes measures analytics geared toward the pharmaceutical industry, health plans and hospital systems. She is a Director in the Payer & Provider division of IMS Health where she is responsible for account and engagement management of analytic studies and syndicated products to health plans and hospitals. Born in South Korea, she immigrated to the States when she was 8. She currently resides in Westlake and is married with two children, Siena and Nathan. Her hobbies include: fitness, exploring the restaurant scene in greater Cleveland area, reading and mentoring a college student through the College Now organization. Mr. Ming Chang attended Wilbraham & Monson Academy for high school and graduated from The College of Wooster. He has owned his own medical device consulting business since 2009 and also owns Mosaic Property Management. Ming was born and raised in Cleveland and similar to many first generation Asian families, grew up in the restaurant industry. He resides in Copley with his wife Marquita, his two boys Jaxon & Parker and their dog Bernie. Mr. Robert Smith is the former ethnic affairs reporter for The Plain Dealer. For 12 years he covered the international and immigrant communities of Greater Cleveland, becoming familiar with the good work of ASIA. He left the newspaper in 2015 to join the communications team at Cleveland Clinic. His wife, Chul-In Park, is the first Korean member of the Cleveland Orchestra. It served as a refresher course forexisting housing counselors and help preparethem for the upcoming HUD certification exam.The exam is required for all housing counselorsin order to continue providing housingcounselling within a HUD certified agency.
