The Mines Theatre had a wonderful start for our 2020 Season!
Auditions were held in January and the turnout was fantastic. Thank you to all who came out, we feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with so many talented individuals!
The Children’s Division Show is underway working to bring CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY to the stage. The production has over 30 individuals working as Cast & Crew Members, along with help from Parents and Grandparents! Be sure to follow us on Facebook to watch these actors as they practice, work on set and costumes!
Renovations have started for 2020, with upgrades being made to the Dressing Rooms and Storage Areas. The exterior will also be receiving a facelift. Expect to see new paint, marquee and signage soon, which provides an excellent opportunity for you to advertise your company on our building! See the Sponsorship page that follows for more on this excellent opportunity.
MYSTERY AT THE MARDI GRAS MUSEUM is slated for March 27th and March 28th. An interactive theatre offering for Adults, 21 & over, to support the Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu, this will be one you don’t want to miss. Show information follows.
April 3rd brings our 2020 Musical Performance in the form of COPYCAT CANTINA! Singing, dancing, chips and salsa add to the fun. Complimentary Taco Bar, Cash Beer & Wine Bar available.
The Mines Annual Scholarship will be distributed to Sulphur High, Vinton High, Westlake High and DeQuincy High Schools in March. The application will also be posted on the website Visit theminestheatre.com for more information.

Mardi Gras is over, but something is amiss at the Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial
Calcasieu in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Who is doing this and Why? What are their

and host to over 2500 visitors annually. A true gem in our own community! ❖ Complimentary appetizers and adult beverages will be served, along with live entertainment. ❖ A print depicting the Mardi Gras Museum and event will be available for purchase from talented
local artist Susan Hebert. Ms Hebert is well known for her depictions of life in the south and will be on hand to sign prints at shows.

Created by Michael Fruge and The Mines Theatre Come over for an evening at Cat’s Cantina, where a celebrity (impersonator) or two always drops in to visit Cat and sing a song or two. Singing, dancing, laughter, chips & salsa, complimentary taco bar and cash beer and wine bar, add to this entertaining experience, with the likes of Elvis, Patsy and many more musical greats. DOA Stage Play
Adapted for stage by Elizabeth Lovelady Produced by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing of Woodstock, Illinois. Frank Bigelow walks into a police station to report a murder: his own! One day earlier, the small-time accountant kissed his girlfriend goodbye and left on a trip to San Francisco. After arriving, he’s invited to join a group celebrating a successful work week. The next morning, Frank awakes feeling ill, only to be receive tragic news the doctor: he’s been poisoned and only has hours to live. Bigelow frantically searches for his killer, will he unravel the mystery before his time runs out? Based on the 1950’s noir film, DOA will be performed in black and white! Created by RB Shay Join us for another visit with the Clucky’s! It’s Christmastime and our favorite Clucky couple, Brother (Paw’s brother) and Sister (Maw’s sister) are hosting this year’s celebration. Christmas shopping, the church social, making cookies for Santa, along with numerous Clucky traditions, make this year memorable for the entire family! Must be 21 or older Catered Meal provided. 2020 Corporate Sponsorships The facility is currently undergoing exterior renovations for the 2020 Season, including a new
marquee and the addition of 2’x3’ sponsor signs and lighting on the front of the building. The theatre sits one block from Ruth St in Sulphur and faces 121 E Napoleon St (Hwy 90),
providing roadside advertisement in a heavily traveled area.
