Msgr. Philip Thoni, originally a Priest of the Dio-

cese of Nashville and currently a Priest of the Dio-

cese of Knoxville, died Friday morning. Arrangements

have not been finalized, but are tentatively planned

for Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28 at the

Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville.

PSR ANNOUNCEMENT

Please Note: We will have PSR classes this Sun-day, March 22nd.

Students in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in the 14th Annual Oratory Contest. Research, write, and present a pro-life speech on issues of abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, or stem cell research. Winner will be chosen on the basis of preparation, content, and presentation. The local contest will be held on Saturday, March 28th at Lawrenceburg Sa-cred Heart School Application must be made by Wednes-day, March 25th. First place winner will receive $100 and paid expenses to the state contest. Second-place winner will receive $50.

Participants are encouraged to memorize their speeches at the local level and will be required to memorize them for the state level. For info/to apply contact Sherri Leiter at 931-279-1704. SHCCW MEETING Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart Council of Cath-olic Women will meet on Wednesday, April 1st at 7 pm. All parish women invited!

Next Sunday is Palm Sunday. We will begin Palm Sunday Celebration at the School Cafeteria and after receiving the Palm Leaves, we will walk prayerfully to the Church in procession, holding the Palm Leaves in our hands.

Palm Sunday commemorates the tri-umphal entrance of Christ into Jeru-salem (Matthew 21:1-9), when palm branches were placed in His path, before His arrest on Holy Thursda-yand His Crucifixion on Good Friday.
