MARCH 22, 2015

OUR LADY OF LOURDES, CINCINNATI, OH MARCH 22, 2015

Hard to believe next Sunday is Palm Sunday! The

Masses are still the same. Bring in your old palms. I

will use it to light the fire at the Easter Vigil. You will

find elsewhere a schedule for Holy Week. Perhaps if

there is someone who you know who has been away

from the Church, invite them to our different litur-

gies for Holy Week.

We finish up our video series of Jesus: Priest,

Prophet & King on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and a re-

peat at 7:00 p.m. All are invited.

This coming Friday is the Taize Prayer Service. It is

based upon The Taize Religious Community in France.

It is a prayer service of different music. It is a great

evening to pray and sing or listen and rest with the

Lord. I always enjoy this evening. Come and see.

Our Seminarian, Michael Mazzei, received the minis-

try of Lector last Saturday evening. This is another

step on the way to priesthood for Michael. Congratu-

lations to him and to his family. Keep Michael in your

prayers and I hope there is someone else in the parish

who will answer the call to serve as a priest or conse-

crated religious.

I want to congratulate our high school CYO basket-

ball team that took third place in the State. That is

awesome. Good job guys.

Use these last two weeks of Lent well. It is never

too late. Let’s keep each other and the parish close in

prayer. God bless.

SECOND GRADE BREAD DAY Our second grade children have

been busy preparing for their First

Communion. This week the children

will have the opportunity to make

bread and learn more about the rea-

son Jesus chose bread as a way to share his life with

us. The children will learn that the bread they make

is physical food but the bread that Jesus gives is very

different – it is the Bread of Life. Parents will be join-

ing their children for this special day. Please keep

our second grade children and their families in your

prayers.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES, CINCINNATI, OH MARCH 22, 2015

Fifth Sunday in Lent 11:1-45

Name several ways I have sacrificed my own desires to be of help to others?

Any trial a believer faces can ultimately bring glory to God because God can bring good out of any bad situ-

ation. When trouble comes do you grumble, complain or blame God or do you see your problems as oppor-tunities to trust and honor him? Share some examples together and talk about how you can best act on them to glorify God.
