March 23, 2020For Immediate Release RE: Construction Is Essential To Utah Utah’s construction industry applauds the leadership of the Governor, state, and local leaders as theyhelp guide our state through the challenges that the Covid-19 virus is presenting. We the undersigned appreciate the construction industry and those supplying materials, services orproducts (such as mining and manufacturing) being recognized as essential to the State of Utah. Wethank major owners like the Utah Department of Transportation, the Division of Facilities Construction &Management, the Utah League of Cities & Towns, and the Utah Association of Counties in theircommitment to keep the construction industry open. We believe it is imperative that infrastructure like roads, bridges, power plants, water and sewertreatment facilities, hospitals, schools, and other buildings be properly built and maintained. Thisincludes our residential properties. The construction industry is incorporating guidelines adopted by our government leaders for the safetyand health of our employees, and those we serve. In summary, the construction industry is essential for our state and we say thank you in advance to ourgovernment leaders for their support.
