• Round 1 (SFY 2010-11)-Appropriation $20 million - closed
• Round 2 (SFY 2011-12)-Appropriation $45 Milliono Per statutory amendments in 2011
$36 Million dedicated for further development of statewide interoperable communications for public safety – SICG (Statewide Interoperable Communications Grant) - $16.5 million reimbursed
$9 Million dedicated for proposals relating to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) operations – PSAP Grant - $2.9 million reimbursed

FirstNet – What is next?• New York held its first Public Safety Broadband Working
Group meeting yesterday. Next meeting is scheduled to occur before consultation.
• FirstNet will be coming to New York on April 20th for our “initial consultation”.• FirstNet will provide more information on designs and
timelines.

FirstNet – News• Breaking News from FirstNet and NTIA: SLIGP Phase 2 to
begin shortly. Instead of collecting data about state and local assets, they will request data on users and user density.• Reminder: If your county has not completed our mobile
data survey, please do. It is important for an accurate baseline.
• Next FirstNet Board meeting: March 25th. (D.C. + webcast)

Mutualink Deployment Status• Mutualink K12 school rollout in Rockland and Oneida
Counties is nearly complete.• Already conducting exercises using Mutualink.
• Mutualink Edge procurement process completed• County rollout to begin shortly. Latest software release
streamlines installation on mobile devices.• As a reminder, the county rollout consists of 5 software
licenses and 2 radio interfaces per county.
