In a few weeks, winter will begin

releasing her hold on nature, and

spring will slowly emerge. The

smells of spring time make a per-

son go, “Ahhhh!” As someone who

enjoys an occasional round of golf,

this means, of course, it’s time to

pull the clubs out of hibernation

and start practicing. There’s always

great hope that the winter layoff

will somehow, miraculously, help

me to improve. Like most golfers, I

can be slightly delusional. Golf is a

very simple game. There’s a golfer,

his clubs and a little white ball. It’s

Besides golf, there is an-

THE TRANSFORMING TRUTH on Sunday Mornings

In March Pastor Mark Robinson will continue the series he

started on Super Bowl Sunday, FRIENDS FOR LIFE. We’ve

been looking at how devoted disciples can help one another

experience greater community and growth in Christ. The goal

of FRIENDS FOR LIFE is found in Ephesians 4:16 (NLT): “…so

that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” King Mountain Church desires to be a

place “full of love” for God and one another.

On April 10 Mark will begin a new series titled,

WAY OUT. First Corinthians 10:13 says, “…when you are

tempted, (God) will provide a way out so that you can

stand up under it.” (NIV) The WAY OUT series will include

four episodes exploring how to escape from trials, tribu-

lations and temptation. This series will be a perfect time

to invite your friends, co-workers and classmates who

aren’t connected to a church and especially those you know are trapped in something they can’t get

out of. The Sundays in the series include: April 10, 17, 24 & May 1. There is a WAY OUT!

EASTER 2011EASTER 2011EASTER 2011EASTER 2011 The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in human history. When Jesus arose on the third

day it changed everything and the power displayed in the resurrection continues to transform lives

today. This year we celebrate Easter on Sunday, April 24 and it promises to be a special, special time

as we come together to worship the risen King. Our schedule for the morning includes:

9am~Connection Point and at 10am~The Worship Gathering with worship, special music and an

episode of WAY OUT by Pastor Mark. GENERATION KIDS will celebrate Easter kid-style and at

11:30am there will be a super-fun egg hunt.

escape from pain, an outlet for passive disobedience to God, or an expression of fleshly desire. The

Psalmist David allowed his heart to become cluttered to the point he cried out to God: “Create in me

a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10 New Living Translation). Once

David de-cluttered his heart it prepared the way for a new season of the blessing and favor of God in

his life. No one enjoys humbling themselves before the Lord and confessing how they’ve sinned

against him, but waiting on the other side is a clean heart and there’s nothing better. There’s no bet-

ter time than right now to start your spring cleaning!

His/Yours, Pastor Mark Robinson

In February we had Ladies Night and now coming in March is

speaker!

ples, so sign-up early.
