If you sign-up it is really important that, unless there are unavoidable difficulties, you do attend or at least let us know if you are not able to. I am also available should you wish to see me. From Eggs to Ducklings! Our Reception and Nursery classes have been lucky to observe eggs! And after waiting patiently for them to hatch - they did!! By day three we had 13 ducklings in school!! The children have been so excited and learnt lots about the process of birth and hatching. They also watched them grow, walk and swim over their first few days and many children were brave enough to hold them! What a wonderful learning experience – full of awe and wonder! Assemblies Over the last eight days we’ve seen two great class assemblies! Last week the confident Hedgehog class delivered an assembly around their topic theme of “Green Fingers”. They acted, spoke, and sang in a manner that left the audience thinking “were they Year 2 children not Year 1!!” The children’s behaviours were impeccable! The assembly was well written and shows the good learning that goes on in Hedgehog Class. Today’s was a different kind of assembly with proud Reception mummies feeling emotional and happy at the same time. The Reception children remembered how brilliant mummies are and how much they love their own!! Well done to the Reception children and the Reception Team who must have spent hours of planning to put such a lovely assembly together with over 90 children! So all that’s left for me to say on this bright spring morning is HAPPY MOTHERS DAY on Sunday. I hope your children spoil you! With best wishes, Nina Will and Staff ATTENDANCE We aim for all children to have at least 97% attendance, ideally 100%. NEWS THIS WEEK - BUMPER ISSUE

As usual we have a great deal planned for this half-term so please have a look at the dates section of

this newsletter to remind yourselves.

Parent /Teacher Meetings

Please don't forget the "Parent/Teacher Interviews" next week. This is a planned opportunity for you

to find out about your child’s learning. I am aware that last term there were a number of parents who

did not attend at the time they had booked. I need to stress how important these sessions are for you

to get an overall picture of your child’s progress in class. Staff spend a great deal of time preparing for

the interviews and obviously stay late at school to deliver them. If you sign-up it is really important

that, unless there are unavoidable difficulties, you do attend or at least let us know if you are not able

to. Our teachers will go out of their way to make sure that they meet with you at a mutually

convenient time, but please, please, please try and come on the allocated days. I am also available

should you wish to see me.
