Established in 1967 by regional pioneer Dr Tom Cullity, Vasse Felix is Margaret River’s founding wine estate.

One of the great wine regions of the world, Margaret River enjoys a truly unique environment and climate which makes it a paradise for winemakers and wine lovers alike. From the first plantings, right up to the modern day, we have always strived to explore and express the very best of the Margaret River region at Vasse Felix.

Under the ownership of the Holmes a Court family since 1987, we have carefully expanded our vineyards to include four distinct and exceptional sites around the Margaret River region. Each vineyard is matched to the best possible varieties and clones, and farmed sustainably using traditional and organic practices. By nurturing our soils, we achieve better plant health and balance which leads to higher quality fruit. We don’t use synthetic herbicides, fungicides, pesticides or fertilisers.

Our wines reflect the strengths of Margaret River, with a focus on Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, as well as Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon blends. Each parcel of fruit is vinified with minimal intervention and bottled within our modern winery, situated at our Home

Our Cellar Door—also located at our Home Vineyard—is renowned. Featuring a tasting room, wine lounge, art gallery, wine museum and one of Australia’s most acclaimed restaurants, we welcome visitors from all around the world, eager for the ultimate Vasse Felix experience. We are passionate about our region, and welcome anyone to visit us for a tasting, tour or long lunch.

The Margaret River Wine Region is positioned in the south-west corner of Australia. It stretches 100 kilometres from north to south and is positioned on a cape that is surrounded by ocean on three sides.

The region is renowned for its isolation, ancient terrain and remarkable coastline. The Mediterranean climate, ancient gravel loam soils and maritime influence, together, deliver ideal conditions for premium viticulture, particularly for Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.

Margaret River wines are known for their consistency, elegance and pronounced varietal aroma and flavor.
