Before Cell Phones

Radios were the first form of cell phones

They were mainly used by the police

Were first used by the police department of Detroit

The first phones were like “bricks” and weighed about 28 ounces

3G phones are very common these days

New 3G phone models are still coming out

They can also be used for SMS texting, email, and access the internet

Some are capable of using WiFi and streaming radio and TV shows

Early models of phones emitted radiation which caused health issues, such as brain cancer and sleep disorders

Using cell phones while driving can lead to car accidents
