Radios were the first form of cell phones
They were mainly used by the police

2G phones introduced many new things
The first SMS text sent from one person to another was in in 1993
The first camera phone was the Sharp J-SH04, introduced in 1999
Third Generation
3G phones are very common these days
New 3G phone models are still coming out
They can also be used for SMS texting, email, and access the internet
Some are capable of using WiFi and streaming radio and TV shows
Safety and Risks
Early models of phones emitted radiation which caused health issues, such as brain cancer and sleep disorders
Using cell phones while driving can lead to car accidents
Interferes with medical devices
