Job & Fellowship Opportunities in the Marie Curie Actions
Opportunity 1: Apply for a job in a Marie Curie Action
• Initial Training Network (ITN)
• Industry-Academia Partnerships & Pathways (IAPP)
• Need PhD or four years of research experience after primary degree (Experienced Researcher): for ITN, no more than five years of experience (includes years spent completing PhD, if relevant)

Mobility Rule
• To be eligible you must not have resided in the country of host organisation for > 12 months in the last 3 years on the day you begin your employment contract.
• Example 1: If applying for a Marie Curie job in France, you must not have resided in France for > 12 months in the 3 years before starting the job.
• Example 2: If you have lived in Ireland for < 12 months in the last 3 years, you can apply for a Marie Curie job at an Irish organisation.
• No nationality/age restrictions
Opportunity 2: Apply to Brussels for a Marie Curie Fellowship
• Marie Curie Individual Fellowships (IF)
• Annual Calls for Fellowships (next deadline t.b.c. in 2014)
• Need PhD or four years of research experience after primary degree (Experienced Researcher)
• Researcher applies with support of host organisation
• Operated by European Commission (Research Executive Agency)
Individual Fellowships• Fully-funded fellowships
• Salary, research costs etc.
• Minimum duration 1 year
• 2 fellowship types:
• European Fellowships: funds up to 2 years at research-active organisation in Europe
• Global Fellowships: funds up to 2 years at a research-active organisation outside Europe, followed by 1 year back at an organisation in Europe
Mobility Rule
• To be eligible for a Marie Curie Fellowship you must not have resided in country of host organisation for > 12 months in the last 3 years on the closing date of the funding Call.
• If you move to another country after your PhD, you can still apply for a fellowship in that country as long as you have not lived there for > 12 months in the 3 years before the Call deadline.
• No nationality/age restrictions
Opportunity 3: Apply for a fellowship in a Marie Curie COFUND Fellowship Programme
• National or International Fellowship Schemes
• Co-funded by Marie Curie Actions, but operated by national/international funding agency in European Countries
• Need PhD or four years of research experience after primary degree (Experienced Researcher)
• Each scheme is different, with different eligibility/mobility rules. In the main, Researcher applies with support of host organisation

• AgreenSkills Post-doctoral Research Fellowships– Operated by French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) – Offering 12 – 24 month positions at selected institutions in France– Funds research in life, agricultural, nutrition, and environmental sciences.
