Support the Production of our Bulletin For quite some time we have been producing our own bulletin allow-ing us to meet the needs of the three languages. If we were to send this bulletin out to be produced, we would have to have one bulletin in English only for everyone and the publications of the Readings in Ital-ian and Spanish would have to come to an end. Help us by Support-ing our advertisers and also by placing an ad in our bulletin for a year. Please call the office for more information.

♦ For the Needs of our Catholic Church in the World
Especially the needs in St. Jude’s Parish
MASS INTENTIONS “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna!” At
each Mass we join in the same cry, proclaiming Jesus as the “one obedient unto
death, even to death on the cross.” He, now our glorious Lord, shares his work
with us when we take up the cross of our baptism and follow him on the way to
glory. The man on the donkey leads us step by step through the gates of heaven
into his paschal mystery. Follow him confidently, full of faith. Hosanna!
Dear brothers and sisters, today we have begun the holiest of weeks. We celebrate the beginning of Holy Week with the Tri-umphal Entry of Jesus in Jerusalem. The community of St. Jude’s invites you, your family and friends to join us during the Triduum. The word Triduum means "the three days" and those days are Holy: Holy Thursday evening, Good Friday, Holy Sat-urday and Easter Sunday. During these Three Days, we enter the central part of God's plan for our salvation. With the en-try of Jesus in Jerusalem this Palm Sunday, we also enter the most important week for us as Catholics. We enter into the Paschal Mystery where Jesus Christ who is the Paschal Lamb, saves us by shedding His blood on the cross. During this Holy Week, let us be watchful and in prayer. May the most Blessed Virgin Mary, who was present at the entry of Jesus in Jerusa-lem, assist us and help us to welcome the Lord in all our lives.

Planning to be a Catholic School Teacher?
It is critical for you to know that to be hired to teach in any Catholic School Board in Ontario as part of your applica-tion for employment you must provide a letter of recommendation from your Pas-tor. It is highly recommended to contact the pastor a year in advance, especially in light of the fact that all universities make this matter known to every student at the beginning of the year. Please plan
to have a conversation with your pastor early in the process (not the week before you are submitting your application) and you will avoid disappointment and stress at the time when applications are to be submitted. The following are required at St. Jude’s: Be (yourself, not your parents or grand
parents) a registered member of the parish using offertory envelopes (at least 1 year before the application).
Be in the parish for participation in Sunday/Saturday mass for a minimum of 12 months prior to approaching the pastor. Be involved in some way with your parish.
Make your request 3 months in ad-vance. Applicant must be the one mak-ing the requests.
No request will be accepted by a rela-tive or a parent.
The pastor has to be able to recommend you, and that is only possible if he knows you at the basic level of regular mass attendance. Personal knowledge of the candidate’s faith practice is what the pastor needs to recommend (not your parents, grand parents, but yourself as this is a personal recommendation not a family one.
ShareLife Living the Gospel by support-ing the Deaf community. Taavi wasn't engaged at his school or in extracurricular sports and as a Deaf person, he faced obsta-
cles trying to join his hearing peers. His mom encouraged him to try to partici-pate in the Deaf community. His life changed when he joined a Deaf basket-ball fun day hosted by Silent Voice and met Mike, Director of the Silent Voice
Child and Family Program. He joined a Deaf sports team, began a co-op position with Silent Voice in his 4th year of high school, and was hired as a counselor in the Silent Voice Sign Language Summer day camp. He continues to volunteer at Silent Voice and says, “I’m grateful to ShareLife –supported Silent Voice and want to be a role model for Deaf kids, like Mike was to me.” Last year more than 600 deaf children received help through ShareLife-supported Silent Voice’s Sign Language Summer Camps. Next ShareLife Sunday is May 7, 2017. Please give generously.

Questions for Reflection:
“And when he entered Jerusalem the whole city was shaken and asked, ‘Who is this?’” Who is Jesus of Nazareth to you in 2017?
If you proclaim Jesus can you be as-sured that he will go before you and guide you?
