Mariette Himes Gomez CollectionMariette Himes Gomez continues her success with Hickory Chair by launching her new furniture collection, Sloan Street, a continuation of her furniture line with Hickory Chair. Like Mariette Himes Gomez, an internationally acclaimed designer, this signature collection is a study of elegance, balance and engaging compositions. Mariette’s ability to discover unique forms that transcend both modern and classic interiors has led to this collection’s ongoing success since its inaugural launch in 2002.

Mariette’s astute perspective is cultivated by her time as a student at the Rhode Island School of Design, the New York School of Interior Design, and as an associate

of design luminaries such as Edward Durrell Stone, Albert Hadley and Sister Parish. This rich past has resulted in a highly successful 80+ piece collection of hand crafted furniture showcasing exquisite details, rich finishes and endless comfort. Each piece is a refreshing blend of classic styles and modern forms, resulting in a celebration of iconic pieces.

Wood Finish Options

Stained and painted wood finishes are designed to accentuate the natural characteristics and beauty of the wood while achieving a particular look and palette. Due to the unique nature of each species, color and grain pattern variations should be expected which enhance and accentuate the individual qualities of each item.

Similarly, our antique finishes are hand applied by skilled artisans utilizing special tools and techniques to replicate authentic distressing and character markings as found on antiques. Every piece of wood will speak its own individual language.
