Kid-Friendly & FAmily FunGobble Wobble 5K Run/Walk: Walk off your Turkey Day feast on our scenic 5K (3.2mi.) route. Tom the Turkey will be there to kick everything off. Meet at the Kids’ Fishing Pond area on Friday, November 25 at 9:30am.

Turkey Welcome Bonfire: Come meet Tom the Turkey and join the activities crew around the warm campfire to learn about the upcoming weekend events. You’ll be entertained by a singin’ cowboy and the kids will receive a special gift. November 23, 4:00pm-6:00pm.

Kids’ Club: The theme is Cowboys and Indians! Held every Saturday from 1:00pm-3:00pm, plus every day during Thanksgiving Week! The themes for Thanksgiving week are: Monday: Hooves, Claws & Paws; Tuesday: Creative Conservation; Wednesday: Camping Day; Friday: Forest Fun. On December 3, the theme is Cooking with Mrs. Claus! $30/Child per day. Includes a snack. Meet at Guest Services.

Kids’ House: Kids, ages 4 to 12, join our Activities Team for action packed adventure, lots of great games, creative crafts, and fantastic fun at the Kids’ House! Friday and Saturday, 4:00pm-8:00pm. During Thanksgiving week, Kids’ House will be offered Monday-Saturday (excluding Thursday, Thanksgiving Day). $40/Child or $15/hour. Includes a meal and a t-shirt. Meet at Guest Services.

WOW: On Friday, November 25, join us at 11:00am on the Truman Lawn for a special demonstration on Birds of Prey and a complimentary craft. Brought to you by the Wonders of Wildlife Museum.

BINGO: Tuesday and Friday at 5:00pm in Cedar Creek B. Great raffle prizes will be available! Join us for a Special “Black Friday” BINGO on November 25 at 3:00pm and a special “JINGO” on December 1 from 5:00pm-6:00pm. Complimentary.

Mayflower Build and Float: Create your own Mayflower boat this Thanksgiving weekend! On Satur-day, November 26, join the crew as we get creative building and decorating your own boats. You will be judged on “Most Creative” (and if your boat will actually float!). Prizes will be awarded. Building starts at 10:00am, judging starts at 11:30am. Meet at the Marina .

Elf Tuck-Ins: The elves have made a special trip from the North Pole all the way to the Ozarks so they can visit your little ones and help spread holiday cheer. They’ll read a bedtime story, collect your children’s letters to Santa, and deliver a special Big Cedar stocking full of goodies. Available November 22, 23, 25, 26, 29, and December 1-3, from 7:00pm-9:45pm. Each Tuck-In is $15 and is limited to 10 minutes per room. Call Guest Services for reservations.

Thanksgiving Dinner Delivered to Your Room!: Enjoy the traditions of Thanksgiving in your own cabin, but let us do all the work! Our team will deliver an entire Thanksgiving meal to your cabin, set the table and then come back pack up your leftovers and do the dishes for you! It doesn’t get any better than this! 4-6 people starts at $195, 8-12 people starts at $395. Both include a 12-14 pound roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, bread and butter, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream! Ask your vacation planner about customizing your dinner.

Wreath Making Class: Spruce up your home and welcome your guests with a lovely wreath on your door. In this class you’ll learn to create and decorate a wreath inspired by nature that will be a warm greeting to your guests this holiday season. Wreaths are $15 each. Classes held from 10:00am-11:00am on November 16, 23, and 30 in Cedar Creek B.

Thanksgiving Dinner: We’re offering your favorite holiday fare and much more – oysters on the half shell, crab legs, paté, smoked salmon... you won’t believe this buffet! Photo Safari: Experience a BRAND NEW offering from our Professional Photography Studio! Enjoy one-on-one photography instruction adapted just to your skill level! You’ll explore Big Cedar while im-proving your photography skills. Two-Hour Session is $200; Four-Hour Session is $400; or enjoy a full day that includes sites at Big Cedar & Dogwood Canyon and lunch at Dogwood Canyon for only $600. Each session also includes a 16x20 print of your favorite photo taken during your session.

Tree Lighting Ceremony: Come join us on the Truman Coffee and Café Lawn for a spectacular Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:00pm on December 3! We’re excited to welcome you to a “Winter Wonderland.” A lucky little one will receive the opportunity to light up the beautiful Christmas trees! (Don’t forget to sign up your child/children when you arrive at Registration.) Prior to the tree lighting, we’ll have crafts and entertain-ment as the festive sound of Christmas fills the air. We’ve also invited Santa to join us, so listen for his bells and great big “Ho, Ho, Ho!” Bring your cameras... Santa has been known to show up with a gift for each and every child!

Christmas Cookie Decorating & Gingerbread House Making: Kids, bring your parents and show them how artistic you can be! Have fun being a Chef and decorate your very own cookies and build your own gingerbread house. Of course, you will have to taste your creations! Plus, you will get a cool Chef hat to decorate and take home with you! $15 per child for cookie decorating and $30 per house. Includes cookies, decorations, house, and Chef hat. Christmas Creations: Seasonal crafts for you to create, from Christmas cards to ornaments. Our elves will help you pick out your craft and wrap it up so you can give it to your family and friends on Christmas day. Prices will vary. December 3, 1:00pm-3:00pm, Cedar Creek B.

Mrs. Clause Welcome Table: Meet Mrs. Claus and find out all the great events to enjoy during your visit to Big Cedar Lodge. Complimentary cookies and hot beverages. Registration, 4:00pm-6:00pm, December 2nd.

Snowman Ice Cream Social: Bring the entire family to this fun activity that is fantastic for all ages! You will have the opportunity to build your own snowman using ice cream and all the delicious edible toppings. Three scoops high, this snowman will look like you made him outside. The best part about building your snowman is eating it once you are finished! December 2, 3:00pm-5:00pm, Cedar Creek B. $10 per snowman.

Big Cedar Presents: A Christmas Carol Live Radio Broadcast: Catch the spirit of Christmas with this fun-filled event. You’ll visit the classic Charles Dickens’ story as actors relive the tale, infused with Big Cedar flair and a twist. Adults will love this dining and entertainment-filled night based on ‘A Christmas Carol.’ But comedy also prevails in this “live” radio production... when it’s a live radio show anything can happen! You might even get visited by the ghost of Marley and Christmas Past! Dining includes appetiz-ers, main course, beverages and specialty holiday desserts and coffee. Breakfast with Santa: Santa himself invites the guests at Big Cedar to join him in The Worman House where he will be sure to listen to all of your Christmas wishes. CulinAryCooking 101: Join the Chefs from Big Cedar and learn their new fall cooking and holiday secrets. As a bonus, you’ll also create the perfect tablescape for Thanksgiving by learning the art of napkin folding and beautiful table settings. Classes are November 12, 19, and 26 from 11:00am-1:00pm. Holiday Wagon Light Tours: Take a ride on our Hitch Wagons through the Big Cedar property and enjoy a dazzling view of our festive holiday lights. After the wagon ride enjoy a song from our singing cowboy along with s’mores and hot chocolate while nestled up next to a warm bonfire. Available Monday, Wednes-day, Friday, and Saturday at 6:00pm, 6:30pm, 7:00pm, and 7:30pm. $25 for adults, $15 for children ages 4 to 12.

dogWood CAnyon nAture PArKTribal Days: Visit Dogwood Canyon Nature Park during Tribal Days on November 12, 19, and 26, from 10:00am-2:00pm. Activities will happen in our brand new tipi and feature a variety of Native American crafts and demonstrations. Pay the walking fee to get into the park for lots of complimentary demonstra-tions and face painting. For an extra fee Native American crafts will be available, including rain sticks, rhythm drums, dream catchers, arrowhead necklaces, and corn husk dolls. At 1:00pm, you may also meet at the tipi to join the Indians for an Arrowhead Scavenger Hunt as they search for precious arrowheads.
