As a System Integrator, CGT is your single-source supplier, offering you bespoke solutions for every kind of project, whether we are preparing new designs or adapting solutions to existing configurations.

CGT offers complete assistance in identifying the best technical solution for a project and its specifications during every planning stage, whether we are preparing new designs or adapting solutions to existing configurations. Our engineering and planning abilities support shipyards and vessel owners relying on direct experiences at home and those matured in Caterpillar’s worldwide organization.

ROSSINAVI – 39m TARANSAY and 50m ENDURANCE

The Rossinavi shipyard was established in the 1970s and, thanks to their deep passion for boats and specialization in metalworking, it is now a leading company able to fulfill any vessel owner’s request or take on any custom-made project. In 2014, CGT acquired project FR029 for the supply of 2 Cat C18 ACERT 599 kW marine engines at 2100 rpm and 2 Cat C4.4 86 ekW onboard generator sets at 50 Hz, the main control in dashboard and remote control for the building of the Taransay, a steel and light alloy reproduction of an early-20th century, 39-meter yacht. In 2015 CGT, together with the shipyard, has taken on a new challenge by supplying its products for the 50m Endurance diesel-electric yacht, an aluminum displacement craft featuring 2 C32 ACERT 969 ekW onboard generator sets at 60 Hz for propulsion together with azimuthing systems, as well as C4.4 ACERT 80 ekW generator sets at 50 Hz, equipped with exhaust emissions filtering. CGT provided also the automation control system, the monitors for the main and the secondary propulsion system and even the remote control. For this craft CGT provides the ship owner with an “ESC Platinum Plus” warranty extension up to 60 months from the time of commissioning for Cat products.

SANLORENZO - SL460EXP

The Sanlorenzo shipyard is a historical name in the Italian boating industry. Established in Viareggio in 1958, over the years it has become an icon of elegance, recognized for its highest standards of quality, reliability and comfort. Today it is the world’s second largest builder of vessels over 24 meters. For CGT, Sanlorenzo is a long-standing customer and, in 2014, the two began a collaboration for the supply of marine engines and onboard generator sets for the new project 460EXP, a 42-meter metal yacht equipped with 2 Cat C32 ACERT 970 ekW engines at 1800/2100 rpm in their complete “commercial version” and 2 Cat C4.4 ACERT 99 ekW generator sets at 50 Hz. Both the engines and generator sets meet the new EPA Tier 3 emissions standards. CGT has also provided the remote control and the engine monitoring system. CGT is currently completing the supply for two additional twin units for 2015 and another one scheduled for construction in 2016.

BAGLIETTO - 54m and 55m YACHTS

Established in 1854, Baglietto is undoubtedly the shipyard that has fully represented the history of Italy’s boat industry in yachts and the military sector for over 160 years. In 2012, the Gavio Group take-over of the shipyard marked a new and important beginning for the future of the brand and Group, which also counts for other prestigious names including Bertram Yacht and Cerri Cantieri Navali. CAT products are used in all the sectors in which the Gavio Group operates - from earthmoving, to energy and even the marine industry - also making it one of our company’s most important established customers. In 2014, CGT supplied 2 CAT 3512C HD 1500 kW engines at 1600 rpm, complete with alarms and control units for the unattended engine room, 3 CAT C6.6 ACERT 143 ekW 2 generator sets at 50 Hz and 1 C4.4 65 ekW generator set at 50 Hz for the new 54-meter steel and aluminum yacht, while in 2015 another deal was concluded for the construction of the new 55-meter displacement craft that includes the supply of 2 CAT 3516C 2000 kW engines at 1600 rpm and 3 CAT C7.1 ACERT 150 ekW generator sets at 50 Hz. The particular feature of this construction is CGT’s supply of a PTO/PTI reduction gear setup, which makes it possible to transform the propulsion system from a classic diesel into an innovative hybrid system that can considerably cut down on fuel consumption and reduce unburnt emissions into the atmosphere.

AZIMUT AZ 66Its more than 2000 HP of power and the light weight of the carbon fibre outline a design that focuses on the comfort and safety of the owner and his entourage. The hull and structures were designed in a successful attempt to find the right balance between conventional composite materials and the more innovative ones such as carbon fibre. This process solidifies the structure and reduces the total weight of the boat which, in turn, allows the two 1150 HP Caterpillar engines to achieve top performance at low consumption. In addition to the engines, CGT supplied monitors and levers.AZIMUT AZ 50The new 15-metre member of the Azimut Yachts Flybridge collection has made its world debut at the 2014 September and October boat shows. The designers were tasked with designing a 50-foot vessel reminiscent of the Azimut 80, the model which has proved to be incredibly popular on the international market this season, thereby forging a new stylistic cohesiveness within the Azimut Yachts Flybridge collection. Designed by Stefano Righini, the exteriors pick up on concepts found in the Azimut 80. Some of the eye catching features include the single mirrored glass window on the deckhouse with similar detailing on the fly, the decidedly impressive size of the bow area, and the classic vertical windows on the hull. The exterior spaces are given priority including a sizeable cockpit and enormous flybridge with its 17.5 m2 that definitely make it one of the largest in the category. CGT supplied two 650hp Cat C8.7, besides monitors and levers.

Siramy is a 43m luxury motor yacht built by Benetti in 1981. With her sleek lines, quality of the finishing and stunning interior, it is an elegant and well bilance yacht offering everything one would expert from a state of the art Charter Yacht.

CGT has replaced:- the old engines with two C32 of 634kW and two ZF reduction gear boxes- the monitoring and control system- the exhaust system- part of the shaft line
