COMPOTEC ® MARINE OFFSHORE hoses are multi-layer thermoplastic hoses, and can be used both, for FLOATING, or SUBMARINE applications. Both types can withstand the high demand of offshore installations. COMPOTEC ® MARINE OFFSHORE hose is the first Composite offshore hose for CHEMICAL, OIL & CRYOGENIC applications. Its unique design includes : the patented NANOTEC ® INSIDE, a pure Teflon ® lining, resistant to any Chemical, Fuel or Liquified Gas product, the special ELASTOTHANE ® outer cover, a PU coated fabric with excellent UV, Ozone, Sunlight and Weather resistance and the unique DURATHANE ® , a patented Red Polyurethane additional outer cover for a better visibility, with superior abrasion and atmospheric resistance in severe sea conditions. Excellent resistance to FUELS (Petrol, Diesel, JP4 etc.), OILS (Fuel, Crude, Hydraulic), CRYOGENICS (LPG & LNG), CHEMICALS & SOLVENTS. OZONE and UV resistance, acc to UNI EN ISO 105 B2 and QUV (Quality Ultra Violet) ISO 4892 ABRASION resistance acc to ISO 5470/80 HYDROLYSIS resistance and Low temperature resistance (does not contain plastifier and will not crack) BS 3424-12 AGING resistance, provides exceptional resistance to surface cracking and weathering in the long term, UNI EN ISO 6065 PERFORATION resistance, for best suitability in heavy and hard applications. COMPOTEC ® MARINE OFFSHORE hoses, combines the all the above men- tioned features to the typical advantages of Composite construction, such as : High Flexibility Low Weight Excellent fatigue resistance Unique fitting design Resistance to very High and extremely Low temperatures COMPOTEC ® MARINE OFFSHORE hoses are produced following the require- ments of the Oil Companies International Marine Forum publication “Guide to Purchasing, Manufacturing and Testing of Loading and Discharge Hoses for Offshore Moorings”, latest edition, (commonly referred to as “OCIMF Hose Guide”). All hoses are manufactured under a quality system which is fully accredited to ISO 9001:2008 and Pressure Equipment Directive – (PED) 97/23/CE standards, under module D1, all hoses are CE branded. COMPOTEC ® MARINE OFFSHORE hoses are 100% Antistatic - Electrically continuous and Type approved by Lloyds with Certificate n° 13/0002 according to IMO regulation. The hoses can be supplied electrically discontinuous on request. COMPOTEC ® MARINE OFFSHORE HOSE CAPACITY All COMPOTEC ® MARINE OFFSHORE hoses are Heavy Duty construction, and according to the suggestion and reccomendations of EU Port Authorities, in relation to the Norms for Safe use, maintenance and control of flexible hoses, the hoses carrying non viscous products, should not be used for a flow rate ex- ceeding velocity of 1 m/s, to avoid inusual friction and to minimize pressure losses. Under the recommended conditions, the flow rate will be equivalent to: 4” 360 m3/hour 6” 820 m3/hour 8” 1.400 m3/hour 10” 2.200 m3/hour 12” 3.300 m3/hour This is a general guide, since naturally, the flow rate of a liquid in a hose, de- pends from many factors, as the fluid viscosity, the fluid temperature, its pres- sure, velocity, and last but not least, the outside temperature. Designed to withstand external pressures up to 200 meters deep. COMPOTEC ® MARINE OFFSHORE hose assemblies are fitted with an exten- sive range of couplings readily available. Maximum production length is 40 mt coils for 4” , 6” and 8”, and 25 mt length for 10” and 12”.
