In 2013, Massport marine facilities processed more than 382,000 cruise passengers, 51,000 automobiles, and 193,000 TEUs of containerized cargo. Massport is hosting registered attendees of Maritime Security 2014 East on a unique security tour that will highlight the port's security technologies and best practices. Tour groups will depart by coach from the Boston Marriott Burlington (conference venue) on March 10 at 12:15 PM and 2:45 PM. Each group is limited to 50 people. Reservations to secure space on the security tour are required, and all participants will be vetted by Massport. Security tour space is restricted to confirmed registrants of Maritime Security 2014 East only. Tour is included with registration/exhibition fees. Security tour will leave promptly at 12:15 PM (Group A) and 2:45 PM (Group B) from the Boston Marriott Burlington and last about 2.5 hours. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
