fun produce a big and unique sound that is difficult to get away from. Their influences reach from Ennio Morricone to Little Feat and on to John Mayer. Every song is unique, whether a little too joyful or melancholic and heavy – the band remains true to itself, authentic, light-footed and to the point.
Their most convincing argument is delivered live on stage: whether on big festival-stages in the Arnhem area or cafés and clubs all over Germany and the Netherlands – Billy Hill’s liveshow has hearts bumping, feet moving and tears rolling! They plan to release their first 10-track studio record in spring 2015.
H I S T O R YIn the summer of 2012 bassist and songwriter Teun Creemers got together with drummer Janik Hüsch and guitar players Dung Hoang and Philipp Ullrich to try and play some blues rock together. As counterpart for this Rock’n’Roll setup he got pop singer Lisa Jansen to join them. Being almost strangers to each other at first they quickly developped a great group dynamic and the unu-sual mixture of musicians gave rise to such a compelling sound, that they knew right away that this was not ano-ther temporary project. Their first few stage appearances provided them with an excited and loyal fanbase in the region, their repertoire didn’t stop growing and their future seemed to be doomed: Billy Hill has to conquer the world!
MUS I CHard to ignore, it all centers around their singer Lisa. With her unmistakable voice she gives the audience glimp-ses into remarkable characters and slightly over-the-top Americana stories. Whether it’s about homeless children or zombies, all eyes and ears follow her finely nuanced interpretations – goosebumps guaranteed!The mature songwriting meets four instrumentalists bursting from musical energy.
