I attended Dr. Ken Sufka’sworkshop entitled, “Evidence-Based Strategies to Promote Student Learning and Academic Success”,sponsored by the Office of the Provost Faculty Development Luncheon Series, on improving teachingeffectiveness to enhance my students’ learning. I incorporated Dr. Sufka’s advice for enhancing teachingeffectiveness by emphasizing attendance policies and his recommended studying strategies (e.g.,self-testing/quizzing, peer-studying/quizzing, using Top Hat quizzes for student performance feedback toenhance student exam performance, etc.).
