Career

Sep 2014 – Oct 2016

Employer Details – Capgemini;

I took the opportunity to move back to an implementation services role by joining Capgemini after they had won the contract to implement JD Edwards at Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety. Job Description – Lead Consultant, Order to Cash; Service Management

The project was broken into four components; Financials, Procure to Pay, Supply Chain and Order to Cash. My role was to drive the implementation of JDE in the context of the requirements laid down by the ‘Customer Stream’. This included supporting the Capgemini Management Consultants in defining underlying business processes, including the identification of functional and business improvements. I also provided support to the other streams, as required, in relation to Apparel Management, Order Configuration, Shop Floor Control and Requirements Planning. Professional Highlights; Though the project has been temporarily shut down by Wesfarmers due to a business reorganisation initiative, the overall project was within planned timeframes and budget, including my area of responsibility. Project goals that were successfully achieved included:

Process mapping to level 4. These included process improvements as recommended by me.

Completion of numerous specifications for product enhancements designed to provide more focus on ‘proactive’ customer service.

Completion of configuration and set up required to support targeted outcomes and associated process improvements.

Data mapping to support data migration from legacy systems to JDE as well as a number of ‘to be’ integrations.

The quality of my work was endorsed by Capgemini programme managers as part of two performance reviews leading to bonus payments for both years I was working at as well as an upgrade in my base salary. I am also confident that I had earned the trust of the Wesfarmers programme members. They saw me as someone who would get things done (as expressed to me on more than one occasion). I was presented with a bottle of Henschke wine as a token of their appreciation.
