CONCLUSION
• The citizens of India are becoming proactive instead of reactive regarding their food products, which is changing the consumption pattern in the country.
• The health food market in India is tremendously increasing.• The health food market should also include ready-to-eat
traditional Indian products like poha & upma as also fermented products like idli, dhokla, dosa, etc.
• People in the rural parts of India should be made aware about newly emerging health products like Yakult.
• Packaging of health foods involves myriad variety of materials from the most ancient glass to metallized laminates.
• Newer trends in packaging should be encouraged by the future Food Scientists.
