Crude Oil: Light crude CLK11 showed steady increase and rose by 4.44%, to settle at $113.05 /barrel on Friday, 08 Apr’11, on the New York Mercantile Exchange, on the backdrop of tensions in the Arab World. Gold: Gold increased steadily and added 2.77% and rose to its all time high closing of $1475 /oz. It increased on the backdrop of the rising crude prices, which caused negative sentiments in the global markets and Gold being seen as the safe haven for investments and also an hedge against inflation.
