• What you need to learn and do is to set up all your own software to run your online business and it basically cost you only your time for most of the stuff you need is freely available online.

• First of all to build a website is to learn basic HTML. Easiest website that appeal to the eye as well as display properly in a browser is to make it with tables. By downloading for free a HTML editor 'AOLPRESS' from the Internet, it contain a great help file that explain exactly how to structure a website using tables and easy to learn how to use it.

I do have a old Visual Basic 4 program that still works fine with plenty free code online, also do I have a

Visual Basic 6 program with lots of free online coding planet-source-code.com and a Visual Basic.net 2003 program.

So lets discuss the various programs and to learn how easy it is to use them.

Visual Basic 4: I'm quite sure you should be able to download a copy from the Internet being old some fifteen years.

Now neither you nor I can tell the difference from witch program was used to compile an application program since they all look the same and basically does the same job.

Making a banner is as easy as pie. Most people have Powerpoint on there computers and definitely Paint witch is a default program of Windows. Create a banner in Powerpoint, read the help file if you don't know how to add text or insert a picture to edit. Say it come out a bit big after you have saved it, just open it in Paint use the Stretch command to make it smaller save it as a jpg file and you are done.

E-books can bring in a ton of traffic by giving it away for free, if liked it can spread over the Internet like wild fire creating a viral effect or sell it 'clickbank.com' got a hundred thousand agents sitting ready to help sell you stuff for a share of cause. What a pleasure you set up your account once, sit back and wait for the dollars to come in. Don't know much about Paypal but believe it works the same.

Easy to compile an e-book, make all the pages websites or HTML files same thing though. Put all your files like graphics, sound files, HTML's in the same folder.

List it with upload.com and with e-book directories witch you will find a lot off on the Internet, run a search.

Benefit: The more popular your newsletter become the more subscribers you gain which eventually become your customers to whom you can market over and over again since they trust you. There is nothing that work so good as having a mailing list of eager customers.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO

Not much to it in my opinion other than doing keyword research to find related keywords. I'm using Goodkeywords for a long time, they have a link to the Google keyword tool. Put your keywords in the title, description and body content of your website for Google and the rest to know where to index it. Then when it come to where you will be positioned is that search engines work on page rank and number of incoming links.

Press Release

Success of a press release depend on how well you can do copy writing. Learn from an expert to do copy writing and how to craft a winning title. A press release has a head section, body and end. Free submission prweb.com

RSS or Real Simple Syndication or more known as a news release usually come in XML or rss form.

Setup a FREE RSS: feedburner.com

Submit to news aggregators for maximum exposure syndic8.com, azfeeds.com

Then to participate in forums leaving your signature does help to bring traffic to ones site. warriorforum.com

Same with the news groups alt.business etc.

Well there you have it, mean some work on your part however the sky is the limit to how big you want to build your business.

Why I Stopped Using my No. 1 Traffic Strategy.

Let's face it, getting website traffic is difficult. So when you find a strategy that works well, you stick with it, right?

Well, usually.
