A brand new retreat workshop in which we will:

• Use creative exercises to explore the inner experience of the myth of Demeter & Persephone, and the life of Mary Magdalene.

• Inquire into, and identify beliefs that prevent us from accessing our wisdom, and connecting with a process that honours the earth’s seasons.

• Working with the imagination for healing and whole health. • Build a container together in which the group itself will become a rich

resource for each of us to explore those beliefs. • Each afternoon free to relax, explore, share or journal.

Lavaldieu is a mediaeval hamlet in the foothills of the French Pyrenees, steeped in the mythology and history of the Grail, Knights Templar, the Cathars, and of course the mysterious Rennes-le-Chateau where the Tour Magdala was built. Legend tells that the Magdalene arrived here with her spouse Jesus, and the area has many springs, caves, and sacred places dedicated to her, and from where the stories of Jesus and Mary began. Mary Magdalene would have been initiated into the ancient feminine mysteries practised long before the birth of Jesus. These mysteries involved the myth of Demeter and her daughter Persephone that described their separation when Persephone was abducted into the underworld by her uncle Hades. The Gospel of Mary Magdalene speaks of listening not just to the ‘above’, but also to how it calls to us from ‘within’, or ‘below’, which is a path of inner awakening. This is a non-denominational retreat, and its aim is to discover and deepen our own knowing, not to teach religious doctrine, but to access, honour and embody the wisdom of the maligned, disregarded, and kidnapped feminine.
