CAP Training Scheduled at Mater Ecclesiae
Tuesday, February 5th at 7:00 PM
We will be hosting the CAP training session in Bishop DiMarzio Hall. All Mater Ecclesiae parishioners who are involved in activities where they are in regular contact with children must attend a CAP training session. The Diocese requires all adults in regular contact with children to attend a CAP session once every five years.
The Office of Safe Environment for Children, Youth and Adults arranges CAP sessions. The CAP (Child Assault Prevention Program) sessions are part of the Diocese of Camden’s program of prevention under the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. These sessions teach attendees the mechanics of reporting child physical and sexual abuse as well as bullying concepts and how to help children feel safe, strong and free.
If you have not yet attended a CAP training session, or if it has been more than five years since your last session, please plan to attend.
In order to plan for sufficient materials, the Diocese needs to know how many people will be attending.
To register, please call Diane Diggons at 856‐583‐6165 or email [email protected]. Please register at least 5 days before the session. In case of inclement weather, please call the Rectory Office at 856‐753‐3408 to find out if the session is cancelled.
Latin Classes This is a Scripture‐based Latin class for beginners and the perfect opportunity for parishioners who never studied Latin in school to learn the classic language of the Mass. Classes meet on the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 9:45 to 10:45. Contact: Frank at [email protected]
