As Catholics, we are called to plan for the future of our parish – our spiritual family, our religious loved one. Many have grown to love Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church because within its walls you have come to know and love Jesus more deeply. With devotion you have practiced your faith here; received from Christ through the ministry of the Church the sacraments so necessary for salvation; and shared together a spiritual journey in our Catholic faith.

God has blessed us with abundance in life. Please consider how this abundance can support the future of Blessed Sacrament and your Catholic faith through a legacy gift. The Catholic Foundation can assist you with creating a plan that best fits your family’s individual needs and desires. As you consider your legacy, consider also the following crucial items:

• Advanced Healthcare Directive (Power of Attorney for Healthcare): Makes it clear to doctors, family and friends who you wish to make medical decisions for you if you are incapacitated.

• Power of Attorney for Finances: Authorizes someone to pay your bills and manage your financial affairs if you are unable to do so yourself.

• Will or Trust: Ensures that your earthly goods are distributed as you desire. • Funeral or Memorial Arrangements: Informs your survivors and priest of your wishes for the

disposition of your mortal remains and the content of the worship service celebrating your life.• Final Instructions for Family and Friends: Discloses the location of your vital papers including

deeds, insurance policies, as well as bank, investment and retirement accounts. • Ethical Will: Allows you to tell your closest family members and friends what they have meant

to you and what your hopes are for them and for the world.
