DO YOU WANT TO READ THE BIBLE, BUT DON’T KNOW HOW TO BEGIN?

If you have ever wanted to read the Bible, but did not know where or how to begin, then The Bible Timeline Parish Study is for you.

The Bible Timeline makes reading the Bible not only easy, but exciting. In this study, you will learn the major people, places, events and themes of the Bible-getting the “big picture” of salvation history. Perhaps for the first time in your life, you will understand the overview of the Bible story. This then makes your Bible reading and even the Sunday mass readings come alive like never before.

The Bible Timeline will be offered at St. Juliana Parish Center on Monday nights starting September 24th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. To learn more, call Frances at 847.698.0018 or email [email protected].

JOYFUL NOW MONDAY, SEPTEMBER10

AT 10:00 A.M. Joyful Now is a group of widows and widowers who gather monthly to celebrate each other. Although it is not joyful to be widowed and to walk the path of grief that our mem-bers have done, we do get together in a joyful spirit to gather strength and support from one another. We plan activities and have some won-derful conversations over ‘coffee and…’ If you have lost a spouse, please come and see what we are about. Our next Joyful Now meeting will be held on Monday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. At this meeting we will be hosting a brunch. Please bring a dish to share. Our meetings take place in our Par-ish Office Building, 7200 N. Osceola Ave, 10:00 a.m. If you have any questions, please call Joyce Browne at the Parish Busi-ness Office 773.631.4127.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL Because you gave “...to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.”

(Matthew 25.40)

Thank you to all of the St. Juliana parishioners who supported our School Supply Drive, August 18-19. Your outstanding generosity was gratefully appreciated by many needy students and their families. We continue to be amazed (but not surprised) by your devotion to the less for-tunate. God Bless You, The St. Vincent Society

2012 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL “Be Imitators of Christ!”

Today we wish to recognize those who not only support our parish, but also have made a gift or pledge to the 2012 Annual Catholic Appeal of the Archdiocese of Chi-cago. On behalf of those who will be served by your contributions, our thanks goes out to all who have already completed their pledge payments, as well as to those who are still making payments. For those of you who have not had an opportunity to make a pledge or a gift this year, but still desire to be a part of the 2012 campaign, please contact Karen White-head at (312) 534-7461 or at [email protected]. Whether your gift is combined with the gifts of thousands of other parishioners throughout the Archdiocese, every gift makes a very real difference in the ability of the Archdiocese to provide ministries and services. Thank you again for your sup-port.
