An academic unit of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences master of science in justice studies application deadline extended to January 30, 2014 The ASU faculty of Justice and Social Inquiry in the School of Social Transformation invites you to apply for the master of science degree in justice studies. The 30-credit hour program includes required courses in theory, methods, statistics, and completion of a written applied project or thesis. You may focus your study on any one or combination of our areas of specialization: 1) citizenship, migration and human rights, 2) globalization, sustainability and economic justice, 3) law, policy and social change, 4) media, technology and culture, 5) social identities and communities. Our master’s graduates obtain jobs in state and local governments, criminal justice agencies, social welfare organizations and agencies, nonprofits, and private sector companies. Some of our students continue their studies in law school or pursue their academic interests in graduate schools, including our own doctoral degree in justice studies. Many of our courses are offered in the evenings, making the degree convenient for working students to complete. Internships are also available to allow students to gain course credit for work and learning in placements within justice-related agencies and organizations. You will find the master¹s program in justice studies to be interesting, challenging, and fun!
