Saint Leo’s Master of Social WorkProgram (MSW) is designed to prepare graduates for professional advanced clinical practice in social work services that promote social justice, economic justice, and human rights.

The MSW program is an innovative online program. Students will attend classes via webcam and online which allows for face to face interaction from your own home.

Students are prepared to lead in advanced clinical social work practice serving all areas of the population including the increasing aging population, military personnel, and those who experience mental health and substance abuse problems.The MSW program is nationally accredited by the Commission onAccreditation of the Council on SocialWork Education (CSWE).

Learning Outcomes Students are prepared with the knowledge, skills and values to become advanced clinical social work practitioners, change agents, and employ interventions to empower individuals, families, groups and organizations impacted by interpersonal conflicts, environmental barriers, discrimination, economic deprivation, institutional oppression, and social injustice.There are three different master’s-level social work programs available at Saint Leo University:

• Advanced Standing Program (Full-Time and Part-Time) This one-year, 32-credit hour program is available to those who have completed a BSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program within the previous five years. This program is offered part-time and full-time and can be completed in four or five semesters.

• Two-Year Program. Our two-year MSW is a 62-credit hour program which begins each fall semester.

• Three-Year Program. Saint Leo’s three-year, 62-credit hour program consists of two courses every 16 weeks, with one semester offering three courses.
