What is a competency?a competent individual is:

Why a competency document?• Functionally characterize those

with competence.• Speaks to the quality of the

program, its instructors, and any courses offered.

• Help lay out professional development plans.

• Help define the goals in the program aimed at developing the competencies.

What issues are involved in implementation?
