1.13 MOC$%UPS

 A. Provide mock-up of each tpe'stle'finish'si%e'color of ceramic tile, mosaics, pavers, trim unit and threshold,

along with respective installation adhesives, mortars, grouts and other installation materials, under

provisions of Section $7"77& $7"76&.

1.14 PRE%INSTALLATION CONFERENCE

Pre-installation conference5 At least three weeks prior to commencing the work attend a meeting at the

 8o0site to discuss conformance with re#uirements of specification and 8o0 site conditions. Representatives

of owner, architect, general contractor, tile su0contractor, 4ile 3anufacturer, nstallation Sstem3anufacturer and an other parties who are involved in the scope of this installation must attend the

meeting.

1.15 DELIVERY& STORAGE AND HANDLING

 A. Acceptance at Site5 deliver and store packaged materials in original containers with seals un0roken and

la0els, including grade seal, intact until time of use, in accordance with manufacturerQs instructions.

B. Store ceramic tile and installation sstem materials in a dr location handle in a manner to prevent chipping,

0reakage, and contamination.

1.16 PRO'ECT(SITE CONDITIONS 

 A. Provide ventilation and protection of environment as recommended 0 manufacturer.

B. Prevent car0on dio:ide damage to ceramic tile, mosaics, pavers, trim, thresholds, as well as adhesives,mortars, grouts and other installation materials, 0 venting temporar heaters to the e:terior.

!. 3aintain am0ient temperatures not less than 67* $"7!& or more than "77* $@?!& during installation and

for a minimum of seven $C& das after completion. Setting of portland cement is retarded 0 low

temperatures. Protect work for e:tended period of time and from damage 0 other trades. nstallation with

late: portland cement mortars re#uires su0strate, am0ient and material temperatures at least @C* $@!&.

4here should 0e no ice in sla0. *ree%ing after installation will not damage late: portland cement mortars.

Protect portland cement 0ased mortars and grouts from direct sunlight, radiant heat, forced ventilation $heat

1.17 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING

1.1! ARRANTY

4he !ontractor warrants the work of this Section to 0e in accordance with the !ontract Documents and free

from faults and defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 96 ears. 4he manufacturer of

adhesives, mortars, grouts and other installation materials shall provide a written twent five $96& ear

warrant, which covers materials and la0or - reference 2A4!R)4) /arrant Data Sheet 796.7 for

complete details and re#uirements. *or e:terior facades over steel or wood framing, the manufacturer of

3.5 CLEANING

Do not contaminate open grout'caulk 8oints while cleaning. Sponge and wash veneers diagonall across

 8oints. Do not use acids for cleaning. Polish with clean dr cloth. Remove surplus materials and leave

3.6 PROTECTION
