Masthead research

I researched many professional, existing music magazine mastheads that are of a similar genre to the one I have chosen to focus on. I came up with many ideas, I managed to narrow them down to a final few, this included;MFT VOLTAGE!Lyrics VolumeRock stationLOUD Rolling rock I chose some short and snappy titles In capital letters as it would grab the readers attention. I also used punctuation to emphasize the masthead and make it more appealing. The words I chose are all fitting with the genre I have chosen to focus my product on. For example, ‘lyrics’ fits as it is a music magazine. The masthead I have chosen is ‘MFT’ which stands for ‘music for today’. I decided that this would appeal to my audience as abbreviating words is a much more modern way of writing, my audience Is quite young and so this should appeal to them.
