ISF purchased the basic MatchChat package which includes the website widget and access to social sharing features such as Facebook and Twitter.

Details So with one line of code ISF were up and running with the MatchChat widget alongside every piece of content on their site. MatchChat connects and engages fans around ISF’s content. Fans can log-in and see how many other fans are active on the site, favourite and comment on articles, and interact with other fans within the ISF community. Fans can then share all of this interaction to their favourite social networks to bring friends and other fans into the action.

MatchChat Fan Points engage and retain the ISF community

Details Every fan thinks they know best and that’s what drives so much conversation around sport. With MatchChat, users earn fan points for everything they interact with on the site. For example If a fan’s comment is interesting and receives lots of likes, that fan earns more points. Essentially the community itself rewards top fans which increases engagement and fan loyalty to the brand and site. Fans are even rewarded for sharing to social networks which increases the % of content that is shared outward.

ISF also opted in for the premium ‘trending articles’ + ‘community feed’ features which

shows fans where other fans are active on the site

Details The trending articles + community feed features have increased the amount of content consumed by each ISF fan. Seeing fan’s interactions and activity on other news stories on ISF encourages fans to click-through to articles that might not normally interest them. Retaining and keeping fans engaged for longer has increased revenue for ISF through more ad click-throughs.

MatchChat powers ISF on mobile

All of the interaction and conversation that is powered by MatchChat through the widget is also driven to the MatchChat app. We optimize all of ISF’s content for mobile so that fans can access and interact with everything on the go. ISF purchased the White Label mobile package which allowed them to completely brand the app and get it on the app store as the official ISF app. For some of our other partners, we also offer our SDK on a monthly payment package that allows them to integrate MatchChat with their existing app. The standalone MatchChat app, both web and mobile, pulls in all of the interaction and conversation powered by MatchChat across our entire network of partners. This opens up a completely new channel for our partners as fan’s can drive new users from different communities through social referral.

The Results E-mail Capture Most fans have no reason to give their e-mail address to ISF. With MatchChat the % captured rose from x% to y%.

Engagement With MatchChat fans consumed X% more content and spent X% longer on the site itself.

Retention MatchChat increases brand awareness and fan loyalty to the site. This has seen an X% increase in fans returning to ISF.

Revenue ISF generates revenue with click-through ads on the site. With fans more engaged, spending longer on the site and consuming more content, fans are more exposed to ads and ISF saw an X% increase in ad clicks.

Social Traffic With fans encouraged to share content to earn more fan points, ISF saw an X% increase in social uplift from Facebook and twitter. X% of all content was shared, What’s amazing though is that 100% of shares were clicked on which drove new fans to ISF. Mobile With MatchChat, ISF’s content is made available on mobile for fans to access and interact with anywhere. Traffic
